It's about sunlight" (85)

The author is very vague as he tells stories about what is true and what is a sensationalized version of the original stories. The whole idea of storytellings is an outlet for Obrein to reflect and cope with his PTSD and experience of war. He never directly says what is true because he knows the majority of readers will never understand what its like to be at war.
