Instagram has quickly become the most popular/problematic social media platform. So much has been said in trying to disparage Instagram's reputation yet we continue to avidly use it.   I have included these policies to help improve how we feel towards our own digital citizenships. If we have to partake in these platforms then we should be thoroughly educated on what we are partaking in. That is why my privacy policies rely heavily on education since education is the best way to destigmatize and remove the fear of things going wrong on social media.

My privacy policy for Instagram would be : 
1. The right to remove posts you have changed your mind about, posts made of you without your consent and posts that don't represent you properly anymore. You can delete posts but they are not removed from Instagram's data base meaning they are retrievable. 

2. Your personal data can be very sensitive content meaning it's not ideally created for sharing. When registering for instagram you have to provide your full name, email address, country, phone number and your sex. All of this info is valuable for different reasons ex. marketing. I would advocate for the right to skip these invasive steps. 

3. No matter how hard you try to protect yourself you're bound to fall victim to something. My policy would advocate for easily accessible help for if this does happen. Help given in easily digestible language and is available around the clock

4. A warning should come with social media platforms about how they are created to invoke the senses and keep you overly engaged. My policy would encourage breaks or "detoxes" based on how long you spend on the platform. 1 hr would equate a 30 minute break. 

5. Everybody should have the right to full understand what they are apart of. Social media has become less of a choice these days with many reluctantly having to join for connectivity reason. If we have no choice then we are bound to be entitled to education about it.
