Ice cold. The wind whispered around me, just as unfriendly as the icicles that hung from the bare twisted trees. To be honest snow was rare and for me it was a wonder. The fine powder lay peacefully over the usually muddy ground but still I felt strange and scared. I knew this place, in the sun, in rain, in fog and in the greenest meadows. But this was strange, I felt like didn’t know this place like it was unknown. For some reason I was alone there was no child running around none of the kids that I knew from next door. That was strange Bea had told me she wan’t to go play if there was snow. But no one was here. That made things more eerie. Suddenly, I saw a red stain. It was quiet blunt there in the white. And it was out of place. It looked like blood like when Bea had tripped last year and grazed her leg. I had run to Ms James who led the Crepe shop on the street corner and asked for help. That had also been in a Winter, but in a warm one. I was so lost in thoughts that I almost forgot the most important thing. There was blood in the snow! Quickly I ran around the big bushes to search for clues, maybe a dog had gotten hurt! But then I stopped. And then I wished that it was anything but this.
