I really like this image a lot as its creepy and delusional. It reminds me of demons and scary movies. When looking at this image and paying close attention to the way he has styled the hair and the way he has pixel stretched the fingers. It makes me think of melting candels. This image is one of my favrioutes of his has its weird but beautiful at the same time.

When i look at this image that Maykel Lima has produced i feel that he must have felt that he was missing parts. For example in this photo he has made it that she has no mouth. Maybe he felt that he couldnt talk? I can also see that it looks like the head is not attached to the body. This may mean he was feeling that he was losing himself.
I look at this image and look at the eyes of the woman

Style and technique of Maykel Limas photography

Makyel Lima has a unique style of which he makes the faces and bodies look alienated and bizarre looking.
He stretches the faces and bodies to make them look quite disturbing and some what sad. The photographs taken look agitated and static.
The technique that Maykel Lima uses is called pixel stretching. This technique is quite simple however has a very big impact on the person and how the feel when they look at those photographs. For example, when I look at the images it makes me feel all sorts of emotions. With emptiness, sadness and disturbed to a certain extent. It makes me want to know what the artist was thinking when he was creating those photographs.
Pixel stretching produced in photoshop, with simple ways to create this effect.

Maykel Lima fantasises with simplicity with little and simple detail. He uses his photography to express emotion. I have research that he uses digital manipulation to create these dark haunting pieces. he uses graphic design, even though its simple its very artistic and some of his images look like something out of a scary movie (like the grudge).
His simple technique goes a long way.

I feel that this song goes well with Limas style of pictures due to the fact its creepy, morbid and sad. The song makes me think of death. However, it does have some upbeat moments in the song and makes me think of recarnation. The song is eery and slow at times and the chimes in the background throughout the song make me think of churches and maybe even funrerals?
