Calcium ion channels open up so calcium can enter the neuron. Sodium channels open up, which caused Na to flow, this is called depolarization. This causes ATP that moves along the sarcolemma. Repolarization occurs when the K channels open up. The potassium starts to flow across the sarcolemma.
