  • Came from a nuclear family. After wife's passing,his household became an extended family.His mother moved in with him.
  • Both Stanley and his wife had problems accepting her illness initially. Wife accepted her death towards the end, Stanley still has difficulty accepting her fate. (Gunnarsson & Öhlén 2006)
