This is a great resource for all women but more specifically for mothers or those expecting. They also provide services for domestic abuse victims.

Springfield, Illinois also has Planned Parenthood which provides Pregnancy testing and services such as testing, fertility awareness, planning services, etc. They also offer a broad span of women's health care services such as cancer screenings, mammograms and other services.

Programs like these allow for the community especially our women of color to have access to reproductive justice. Delving into motherhood, I found this to be a crucial topic for motherhood and Native Americans. This also goes further in-depth explaining how Native American Boarding Schools impacted the family structure among Native Americans. For some background history, Native American children were taken from their mothers and sent off to boarding schools where they were stripped of everything within their identities - their language, religion, and other customs. As these Native American children were coming out of boarding schools, they remembered little about their culture and went home struggling to connect with their families.
