I will definitely take away self-regulating and checking in with myself during difficult conversations instead of shutting down and not engaging in the conversation.

It was an amazing workshop . It helped me to learn the art of stepping back and think from other lenses.

It would be great to take such workshops to schools like social work , Global studies and Institute of development studies.

If you would also like to to add that how this workshop will help for student to do better analysis in their essays and dissertation.

what I’ll take back
the importance of standing in someone else’s perspective, and listening
the activity - it was so much fun, I’d like to introduce it as an icebreaker for the events I host!
What can be improved
I feel more confident speaking in smaller groups so that could have happened before talking in front of everyone during the agree/disagree activity.

Thankyou for putting this together. It was interesting to debate the topics and the range of statements was great. I do think some more revision is needed in how activities are explained and how things are presented but overall a great concept :)

I think in terms of engagement, I enjoyed the activities as a whole group thing and the triad activity. I think that some of it could be condensed because a lot of things were repeated

I loved the conversation parts of the meeting which really challenged my thoughts and also enabled me to shape my thoughts as well which I believe is very important

I hope this doesn’t come across badly, but in all honesty I didn’t feel that the workshop was too helpful - the facilitation wasn’t the best so activities dragged out and weren’t engaging, things didn’t really seem to link together, and I don’t think that “challenging conversations” were really discussed -

Also, if anyone has mobility issues, they’d really struggle to access most of these activities!

To improve, I think that more confident facilitation, shorter activities, and more connection to identifying difficult conversations + things you can say to diffuse them would be good!

Thank you for doing the session, it takes a lot of confidence to present such a difficult topic. Some of the ideas in the workshop were very creative and with good intent. I feel like there could be some revisions in the way it’s presented, and maybe more diverse scenarios as it was focused on animal rights and veganism so we didn’t get much difference in opinions between statements.
