Yesterday, I asked God to speak to me through my dreams. To my surprise, that very night I had a dream that really spoke to me, with my daughter giving her life to Christ. And today—to my surprise once again—we spent the day reflecting on the story of Joseph, which, by the way, is my favorite in the Bible. The pastor spoke specifically about the dreams God wants us to dream. I felt truly guided by the Holy Spirit.

God showed me some sacrifice that could be coming very soon for me, and also being vulnerable, how much I need to surrender lust. I've struggled for years, and realized that I've objectified my girlfriend, girls at church, school, this camp, and many more. I don't want that anymore. God calls me to a higher level of holiness.

I also began to question my faith or what i even wanted to believe in in general. After attending the first few days of camp 220 i started to feel a call but i was ignoring it, up until i couldn't. I started to sit there and remember how much my faith was ingrained into me and i just couldn't hold back my emotions. I began to pray for the remainder of the worship and fell to my knees and asked for forgiveness and since then i repented for what i've done and in the midst of all the chaos happening in my life i can confidently say that i've been saved by Jesus

My Experience

I have way too much to say but I’ll say it anyways. I went into 220 with the idea of i’m just there to have fun and the very first thing I asked getting off the bus was when’s free time even though throughout the entire week I never used that time alone it was always with those around me, whether that was talking with anyone and everyone or just walking with people I learned that I was truly brought there for much more than just my friends and fun. I was really there for the lord and I didn’t truly understand that until Wednesday. On Wednesday I truly experienced the holy spirit for the first time. I was shaking, sobbing, and laughing. It felt like the holy spirit was just touching me. During the second song of worship that night I felt the need to pray and I did, for every little thing i could think of. I prayed for those around me to live long and prosperous lives and for all the issues i hadn’t given to god to be taken away from me and for just anything and everything. I can’t put into words everything I thought and experienced in that moment but it just felt so surreal. In that moment I just felt two sets of hands lay on me and I could hear Lib and Lily praying over me and I’ll always keep this one line Lib said with me and that’s “Lord I know you have great things cut out for Ben and you’ll use him to help others.” And those words just really got to me in the moment and I couldn’t help but know I had all these wonderful people with me and that they would all do anything for me and until then I hadn’t really felt that way. After worship when we went into church time I started to talking to Lily about how I felt during that time and I just started crying and shaking even more and I couldn’t understand why and I tried to stop myself as best I could when we got into the room and Aleya just said two words, “Be Vulnerable” and that really helped me let out my emotions. When I finally decided to muster up the courage to raise my hand and say exactly how I felt and I simply said “Since 30 minutes into worship, I haven’t stopped crying and shaking and I don’t know why or what’s happening” and I just felt Ms Stacy come over to me and start praying over me and soon everyone gathered round and my entire body couldn’t stop shaking as I was just overcome with the holy spirit and they just said that every tear is just a prayer sent directly to god which honestly just made me cry more and by the end of it all I had the most disgusting bandana ever. Later through the night I had long conversations with those closest to me but felt there was still something looming over me. The next morning I asked to talk to my small group leader about what I experienced and he shared some very special wisdom with me and told me that god would work through me to help others and it really hit me hard. Thursday night I took that newfound confidence and I grabbed Alfred by the shoulder and asked him about his small group and team meeting and he said the Zeta pastor Jeff mentioned something about suicide and how he thought about taking his life 2-3 weeks ago after his dad threatened to kick him out and again it hit me hard and through the cries of that moment i prayed for him and felt the holy spirit moving through me into him. Afterwards I just felt as though it had given me this new courage to talk to others and that they could be experiencing so much in the shadows just like Alfred. I found this guy in the back just watching not really singing or dancing but just standing and it seemed as he needed someone in that moment so I went up to him and just gave him a hug and let him know that through all the struggles he faced and hardships he’d go through that he always had one thing, the lord, and that there were plenty of people who loved him and anyone in that room would do anything for him. After we shared that moment he told me two words that gave me all the courage I could ever need. Thank you. Those two words hit me harder than I could ever imagine and I knew there were others in that room who needed the same thing so I looked around for someone else fighting the silent battle and I spotted Sam singing and wiping her face and decided to go over to her and once I was about halfway there I nearly decided to turn around and that I couldn’t do this but I thought about how so many people were there for me through this journey and how I just needed to be that person for someone else so I decided to push through. When I got there I asked if she needed to let anything off her shoulders and though she told me no I could see there was something she needed so I just decided to start praying and telling her we would all do anything for her and if she ever needed anyone she could talk to any and all of us, no matter the struggle and let her know if she wanted anything to she could come up to the top with us and at the end she said “I bet it took a lot of courage to come over here” and i simply responded with “it did” and I hate to take credit here but I believe telling her that I nearly turned around and didn’t talk to her in the moments before gave her the courage to do the same and she told me when she made her way to the top that I had given her the same sort of courage to go pray for others and I do believe that it was just the holy spirit moving from me into her and that again just hit me like a train. After I heard those words from her it allowed me to know that the holy spirit was making a real difference in me. At some point later on during worship I saw Liam walking up from the bottom and just gave him this sort of hug cause it felt right and told him we all love him and let him go on. It wasn’t until the morning that he told me it had touched him in some sort of way and he hadn’t felt the emotions he felt afterwards in over 5 years and until then I felt it was just meaningless prayers and just my emotions pouring onto other people the night before but that hit me harder than all the rest because it really let me know that god was using me as a vessel for the holy spirit and everything I had felt was truly him. After everything I just spotted by small group leader in the seats and went down to him and gave him this huge hug because it really felt like talking to him allowed me to get everything off my chest and that all the weight I had felt for no particular reason was just removed in an instant. After worship, during church time I didn’t feel the courage to share what had just happened but once we got out I felt I just needed someone else to talk to and I spotted Lily sort of hanging back and I just shared everything I had felt over the past few days and it really felt that everyone was there for me in those moments and the least I could do was be the same for everyone else. So once we got back with the group at like 1 in the morning I just began to share everything that had happened in the few hours prior and it felt as I wasn’t being judged but looked at as a sort of inspiration. After both experiences those nights I can only explain the feeling I felt as pure joy. It did feel amazing to experience the lord firsthand and have all those amazing people around me whether it was Lily, Lib, Vicky, Sam, Alfred, Tommy, Jew, Emma, Corey, Jaxon, Zildjian, Gen, Jesse, Jayden, Ella, other Ella, Payton, Rhiannon, Agustin, and every other person I forgot to mention but I really did feel as though each and every one of them looked at me and my experience with open eyes and could feel the holy spirit moving through me those nights. All I want to say in the end to every person who was there for me during this experience is thank you. I could write so much more but i’m not trying to include every detail imaginable. In the end god is still writing my story and I need to trust and believe in him throughout this journey.

Before camp I was in a rough spot and was praying for MONTHS for help from God. Because before that I was thinking about taking my life and was struggling with lust a LOT. And at the Sunday service the day before camp they were talking about 220 and something in me was like, you’ve been praying for help and this can be your help. So I went to camp thinking that it would be boring or a waste of time. And at camp I was praying and didn’t really feel anything throughout 220, but once is was over it changed my whole prospective on life and on God so im really glad I went to 220.

This was my first time at camp and the lord almighty changed everything it was just a waking up and opening of my eyes the way my small group was there and supporting was just something that I have never had before. I have done communion before but that was the first time with me actually being changed. I thank the lord for putting me in Camp 220!

Growing up I had a Christian household. We woke up every Sunday bright and early to go to church. When I was 11 my dad started drinking alcohol like it was water. We still went to church every Sunday, but something just felt different. Then my dad started getting drunk every night and was being rude to my family. I started asking a lot of why’s . Why is this happening? Why did you let this happen? During the time I’d still try to stay strong in my faith, then my parents ended up getting a divorce which I really thought was going to be the end of everything,my dad was not the dad that I had asked him or wanted him to be so I barely talk to my dad to this day. We really do not have a good relationship, but this week I felt like I was getting called to forgive him so I prayed and prayed, and now I do not hold a grudge against my dad.

I was raised in a Christian household so my story might seem a little dull but it’s not! Before camp 220 I had been struggling with doubt, I had Been asking god to take this one feeling away but he didn’t , I felt like he was ignoring me or couldn’t hear me, it got to the point we’re finally I started doubting if he was even there or not. when I went to camp 220, at first I didn’t know what I needed from god but on the second day at afternoon worship I went to the altar and asked god to speak to me and tell me anything I needed from him, and I heard back!!! He said, “ I hear you, I’ve been listening this whole time.” This really helped, it just proved to me that he was still there and he really DID here me, it showed me that I needed to have faith in god and trust that he is there and moving in his own way, we might not understand how, but he is! So just a reminder to anyone who is feeling similar to what I felt, I want you to know that he is hear and always listening so remember to put your trust in God and believe that he is moving in different ways that we might not understand yet, but we will soon!!! :)

For me, the 220 experience was like being on a rollercoaster. At first, there was that fear, you know? I kept thinking, "My God, what am I doing here? I’m not ready for this." Honestly, I hadn't fully grasped the scale of it or exactly what my role there would be. But along the way, I discovered that God wanted to work through me, despite my disqualification. In fact, God wanted to use that very lack of qualification to bring me to a place of total surrender in His presence, crying out for help. And He answered me with ideas and ways to make those days truly unforgettable for those teenagers. I am so grateful that God opened this door for us, placed this desire in our hearts, and gave us the faith to believe there was a greater purpose in stepping out of our comfort zone, our own "Ur", to serve His Kingdom.

i had not a bad childhood when growing up, but just my parents were horrible influences, they were both really bad dopeheads and they did literally everything, so i grew up not knowing jesus until in 5th grade my parents life changed because my dad found jesus which led my mom to find jesus. i acted like i was a christian and acted totally fine, but on the inside i had a lot wrong, before this camp i had a 5 year porn and lust addiction and i became depressed due to my past and how everyone saw me as a freaky kid that didn’t care about anything, the depression got so bad i thought about killing myself 3 weeks before church camp, and i wanted to say im so glad that i didn’t end my self, church camp changed my whole life. on wednesday during afternoon worship, i was just “worshipping” like normal until i felt god upon me, and in that moment i felt so guilty for all ive done and how ive been just running away from him, i instantly broke down in tears and knew i had to change for god, so that random wednesday night at camp, i let god into my heart, and it was one of the best things of my life entire life. i have no more intentions or even wanting to watch porn and master bait and i’m getting so much better on forgetting the past and i just hope everyone that went to 220 had their lives changed for the better like me.

I grew up going to church, not a whole lot because my families a very sport centered family. Me, my sister, and my brother all play many many sports, so I don’t get to make as many Sunday services as I want, before this week at camp I was okay with that. This week at camp though I really felt the god working in me and through me. I worshipped like I’ve never worshipped before, prayed like I’ve never prayed before, and talked about before to anyone. I now am going to grow closer to god and his word. The past few days since we’ve been back all I’ve listened to was worship music, I’ve been in my bible everyday, and I’ve taken so many notes. I really felt something this week and I’m going to change how I view god and my commitment to him. When I have sports conflicts with church I’m going to try and pick church but ultimately it’s up to my parents. If yall could can yall pray for me and pray that I’m not just on a church high and that I could continue to grow closer to god and his word. As well as pray that my parents will accept it and take in how much I’ve grown over this camp. I just wanted to say I can’t wait for next year I’m so excited to see everyone and grow even more closer in my walk with faith.

I grew up in a healthy home went to church every Sunday and Wednesday! Then at the early age of 6 my dad and grandpa died. That tore us apart, that’s when my grandma moved in with us. Then church became just an option, not a routine anymore. Depression and anger built up in the house, constant fights and just everyone being upset. We moved to try to have a new start and get out of the toxicity. That didn’t work the depression grew even bigger and my grandmothers health declined. Me and my sister moved to a whole different school new friends, new classes, and new environment. That all took a while to get used to. Our financial situation started to have trouble due to my uncle just taking and taking from us since my mom can’t work. We all were stressing about that and how we could make it through life. My grandmother sadly passed away in November of 2025. That was a the biggest hearty break because she was really the glue that held us all together. The one that kept everyone sane and not getting each other. Then it was just the 3 of us and still is now. The depression and anger never went away they just stuck around. My depression got bad when I started hanging out with the wrong people and doing the wrong things. I thought I had to fit in the be cool. Then we are starting to get back into church and have better connections with the lord like we used to. Me and my mom go most Sundays but we are still trying to get my sister to get back into it. I went to camp just last week and I asked him to work through my mom and my sister. Show them that he is the WAY that no other person will help and you like he will.

For me, it was the moment when I really gave all of me to God, asking to take the cup from me. The cup was the shame and guilt of hiding sexual lust from the family and friends around me. Being able to give God that shame and guilt of what I had been holding on to for years, was the most refreshing and renewing thing I think I have ever done. The burden taken off of my shoulders and onto his helped me really, truly forgive myself.

Yeah, truly giving God my heart along with the sin I was holding onto, surrendering and releasing it to him. This is something I will never forget. That when I was in my lowest moment, God was really preparing me for true freedom in Him.

I also bought the Monuments book Pastor John made. Only in the first chapter, it is already challenging me and making me ponder on what I can do to grow my relationship with my savior and king.

Thank you for listening. ❤️
