Other than that, I also passionate about music. I'm taking my Grade 7 piano exam in October so I'm practicing a lot these days. I'm currently attempting improvisation right now which isn't easy but thankfully there are a lot of content creator who gives a lot of tips.  I'm also in the school choir team and has performed on various occasions and even held a concert last year.

This song is based on the band's head singer, Lukas Forchhammer. The song is about him realising that he is getting old and how his life has passed. This song has won 3 Grammy awards and has topped many charts. It also became the 7th best selling song worldwide in 2016. The song is a short story of the group head singer's life.

As for the reason I choose this song is for it's connection with the lesson.

So, my favorite song is "In The Bleak Midwinter" by Jacob Collier. 
Jacob Collier is an incredibly talented musician who does a lot reharmonization and rearrangements of songs. He has perfect pitch and can play various instruments and has won several Grammys. He often experiment with 24 TET music (microtonal music) instead of the typical 12 TET style which means that he uses 24 notes in a scale including half sharps and half flats.
In fact, In The Bleak Midwinter is the pinnacle of microtonal music. Jacob Collier modulates from E major to G half sharp major which is an crazy feat, changing the pitch from 440Hz to 450(i think?)Hz. The entire song is also arranged and planned out by him, with him singing out every single part without the use of earphones or Autotune (In fact Autotune can't even go microtonal).
From a lay man's perspective, the song sounds aesthetically pleasing and it really captures the feeling of Christmas. It's very calming and every time I listen to it, I try to focus on a different part which always let me experience it differently.

Each of these costed at least RM50 but I could only afford buying them during my university year as I managed to secure myself a scholarship sponsor.  Additionally, I only bought around 3-4 CDs per semester and not all at once.

Everything here was bought online (either via Shopee or Carousell). And of course the price of these aren't cheap. Most of the tools will cost RM20 or above so if you want to get a full Chinese Calligraphy set up it will at least cost you around RM100. Just a reminder I will also have to buy a new stack of paper after a certain amount of time. Learning with you was fun cause you wasn't always taking things seriously unlike someone with a bunny tooth I know. Its also a con that a teacher close to our age are teaching us because they understand to feeling that we are feeling. Yes, maybe sometimes you scold us for disrespecting you but most of the time I actually learned something and most importantly we had fun...most of us. The only advise I can give as a student is that you need to change your attitude in front of your teacher or our teacher cause you reputation depends on them not us nor you.
