Occurred during the late night safety test. This accident caused 2 deaths in the facility, 134 service men hospitalized. This was considerd the most disastorious nuclear power plant accident in history.

Chernobyl power plant near Pripyat which is part of ukraninian Soviet Republic of Soviet Union during a system test. An unexpected power surge accurred. This is only happening in Chernobyl. This is a problem because it realeased radioactivityinto the atmosphere in the form of both particulate and gaseous radioisotopes. It is one of the most significant unintentional releases of radioactivity into the environment to present day.

$788 million to build a 20,000 ton steel dome that will enclose the reactor. this will take 5 years to build. This is very effective. this will help stop any future explosives from happening again which realeses radioactivity. this will effect Chernobyl and its surroundings. this wasbuild in 2013, however the roof collapsed while finishing touches were being made. Today, the Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant sits inside a fenced area known as the Exclusion Zone. Radioactive remnants of the failed reactor linger inside the so-called sarcophagus, a 24-story concrete and steel encasement hastily erected after the accident. Leaky and structurally unsound, it now threatens to collapse, shaking loose enough radiation to cause a second disaster of similar magnitude. Work has started on a new encasement, which will slide over the existing sarcophagus to seal in the remaining nuclear fuel - at an estimated cost of 2 billion dollars.

-I would come up with ways to build a new model of the power plant.
- make it more sustainable to hold.
-make sure the dome last more than just 20-30 years.
- make sure the mobile divices are efficient for great communication throughout the building.
My changes will be made so that there will not be another explosive again. every team member will communicate with everyone and know whats going on around them. This will help with the communication skills also. this building will be able to hold weight and be none-explosive.

Russia's stone walling, denial and outright lies to the international community forced the international community to act with determination and with speed. Lacunae in laws were identified and in the horrific wake of this accident, pushed through a number of conventions governing notification, warning, assistance, liability, compensation, nuclear safety and the physical protection of the nuclear materials and installations.Even though Chernobyl forced the world to pay attention to the dangers of nuclear power, sadly today its lessons are being forgotten. Many countries have not accepted certain conventions and still do not govern their nuclear installations according to international standards.Even though Chernobyl forced the world to pay attention to the dangers of nuclear power, sadly today its lessons are being forgotten.

In terms of direct deaths attributable to the accident, the Chernobyl nuclear disaster turned out to be anything but a highly destructive force. Whereas the nuclear bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki claimed close to 200,000 immediate victims — more than 100,000 killed and the rest injured — the Chernobyl explosion caused 2 immediate deaths and 29 deaths from acute radiation sickness in the course of the next three months. Altogether, 237 people were airlifted from Chernobyl to Moscow and treated in the special clinic there. Out of these, 134 showed symptoms of acute radiation syndrome. It has been claimed that a total of 50 people died of acute radiation syndrome, and that 4,000 may die in the future of radiation-related causes.Altogether close to 7 million people would receive some form of compensation for the effects of the Chernobyl fallout. But the size of the groups eligible for subsidies and the amount of financial compensation differed in the three states, depending on the interplay of politics and economic circumstances.
