WELCOME TO THE WIZARDING WORLD

This is the first unit of the course. It will be the review unit and the starting point for the following units. This unit will begin with the creation of the different groups (they will represent the different houses of Hogwarts) and will explain what their objective will be throughout the units. In addition, the classroom will be decorated with a Harry Potter film setting, to get the students into the role and motivate them more. In this unit, in addition to reviewing the Present Simple and Present Continuous; and vocabulary related to the school, they will learn how to describe themselves, i.e. they will learn how to write autobiographies. Students will be given the first letter of the hidden word, "F", as a clue.

CEDRIC DIGGORY

This second unit is the beginning of the challenge that has been proposed to the students during the course, to recover the most precious object of each character. In this case, Cedric has lost his potion book. If the students manage to pass the unit and thus recover the book, the character will present them with the letter "R". In this unit, students will become experts at reading and creating a newspaper article.

LUNA LOVEGOOD

In the third unit, our protagonist will be Luna, who will have lost the next issue of her magazine "The Quibbler" that they read so much at school. If the students pass this unit, they will manage to recover this object, and they will learn how to write a review. At the end of the unit, students will discover that the next letter is "I".

DRACO MALFOY

This character corresponds to the fourth unit of the course. Draco will ask for help from the Primary 6 pupils after realising that he has lost his father's walking stick. In this unit, pupils will learn how to design their own Curriculum Vitae, which will be of great use to them in the future. With the unit completed, they will obtain the letter "E".

HARRY POTTER

This unit will be the last one to be assessed in the first term. Our beloved protagonist will ask for help to find his invisibility cloak. It is the unit that will be developed in detail later in the written work. At the end of the project of this unit the students will get the letter "N".

RON WEASLEY

This time, the students will have to help Ron to get back the jumper that his mother gave him. In this topic, students will learn how to design a pamphlet about a holiday that is celebrated. They have the opportunity to get to know the world, to learn about different cultures and traditions that they do not yet know about. After this unit they will receive the letter "D".

FRED AND GEORGE WEASLEY

The funniest brothers in history have lost the Marauder's Map, which was indispensable for their pranks at school. To get it back, the pupils will have to familiarise themselves with the different musical genres and their greatest representatives, in order to develop a biography about them. They will get the letter "S".

GINNY WEASLEY

The youngest sister of this large family will require the help of our students to retrieve her owl, who always brings them the mail. For the final project of this unit, students will have to combine their knowledge of how a description is made with the structure of a letter. The aim is for them to write a letter to a loved one about their favourite place in the world. In return, the character will present them with the letter "H".

NEVILLE LONGBOTTOM

One of the most beloved characters has lost her pencil, so she can't remember where she left it the last time she saw it. So the students will have to go back in time to ancient civilisations to find out what happened and change the present. The students will become great historians and will create an invented story contextualised in some point in history, adding characteristics of their own. If they succeed in this challenge, the character will show them the next letter; "I".

Hermione Granger

The bravest student with the most impeccable grades at Hogwarts needs our help to get the last ingredient for the multi-juice potion she is preparing.This is the last unit before the Hogwarts professors put our students to the test.Therefore, Hermione will reveal the last letter "P". At the end of the unit, the students will be introduced to a video in English about the importance of friendship between students and teamwork.

SEVERUS SNAPE

THE FINAL BATTLE

We are in the final stretch of the course.The students will have to demonstrate the knowledge acquired throughout the year in this great end of the course. They will become responsible Internet consumers by writing an argumentative text about the uses of the Internet. It will conclude with learning Reported Speech, and an overall test for the year.If they pass, the dark lord will be defeated.
