Complete 3 objective observations under the column that the type of development lives. We need to focus on development. Your name should be the subject. 3 sentence minimum per picture. Be objective with your observations. Saying the children are happy or excited is subjective. Being objective is using fact and not opinion. The purpose of the observation is that you gain information relating to development that you can use for future lessons. Always include what is going on in the activity, what development is seen and how you can use this information in the future. When you are done, comment on two of your peers observations. 3 observation plus 2 comments equal 5 points.

For this activity, the preschoolers were making a valentines box for their goodies. They did a lot of folding to do the arms and legs, which then alternated to cutting the piece of paper in half. After they have done this, they glued the mouth, eyes, and circles for decorations, then they put the pipe cleaners for the antanas. The development seen was small motor since it was a lot of hand muscular development with the folding, glueing, and cutting. Throughout the activity, I noticed the preschoolers struggling with folding and cutting, so I could use this for my future activities to have more cutting involved and folding for them to get more practical with these features.

The kids are doing a small motor activity.they folded strips of paper for the arms and legs of the silly monster box. They glued the pieces to the box. They cut pieces of paper to make the arms and legs an appropriate length. For a future activity we could make the kids cut out pieces on their own. It helps them learn how to do it on their own.

Today the preschoolers made a Valentine monster box. They used their small motor skills to glue, cut, and place each item on the box. The first step they had to do was fold the piece of paper backwards and forwards. When they completed folding the paper they had to cut it in half. Then they had to glue the eyes, the legs, the arms, and the little buttons. The preschoolers didn't struggle with cutting the paper but they did struggle with folding the paper backwards and forward. Since I know that, in the future I will plan activities with paper folding so they can improve with their folding skills to the point where they won't need any help.

The preschoolers are playing basketball, being corporate with each other and sharing the hoop. The development that is seen is large motor, since they're using all body parts using large muscles. I could use this for my future lessons to make basketball more challenging, since I know the preschoolers enjoy doing large motors. So maybe when they're shooting we should count together until they miss.

What's happening in this activity is Jimena is cutting out hearts to make a caterpillar. What she's developing in this activity is intellectual because she's learning how to cut around the heart, which most of our students struggle to do. She also liked to cut, I asked her, "Did you like to cut?", in which she answered, "Yes!". This will help me for my future activities, letting me know that I could choose Jimena if my lesson involves cutting.

They all learned how to take turns playing with both instead of fighting over them. All of the preschoolers, even Yasmeen who is really shy enjoyed, and was interested in learning about the turtles. Now that I know the preschoolers love turtles I can plan a future activity that deals with turtles. I can either teach them more about turtles or make a paper turtle or something.
