Hi here!

Thanks for viewing my project. I'm Chelsea and while I did not do this project in community with participants in the program, I've created this draft outline with a group of fellow educators as part of a two-year fellowship with Transformative Educational Leadership (TEL).

Our ultimate goal is create programming to support mindfulness practices within educational environments specifically for communities of color. My participation in the ESJC program augments my learnings from the fellowship. My focus area is on black liberation and embodiment for young adults. I hope to provide young adults with embodiment practices that are culturally responsive and adaptive to the environment in which they live whether they reside in urban, rural or suburban areas.

The project below is a work in progress that I'll continue to flush out in partnership with my colleagues in TEL. Feel free to add feedback and ideas for improvement in the comment sections. I appreciate your feedback as we work to strengthen the project.

The questions highlighted in blue are part of a discussion series created for Gavin van Horn's collection, "Kinship: Belonging in a World of Relations." The readings and activities serve as ways for participants to answer the questions and embody the lessons through movement, contemplation, art, music, and more. I hope to incorporate more from the book series in the future.
