I shared my silly story in Child Behavior Management, but here is the picture of me in the cop car. I was the poster contest winner from DARE to Keep Kids Off Drugs in 4th grade. My mom knew I was going out for pizza with the local police, but she didn't inform my dad. As I was in the back of the squad car we talked the officer into turning on the lights and siren. At the red light I looked over and saw my dad. I waved really big....he looked over mortified and followed us to the pizza place and asked what this was all about. What a funny day!

This picture is from 2008 when I was a senior in high school. I'm the one with the '87' on my shirt. The teacher in the middle taught almost all of the child development classes, etc. This was probably one of the most memorable times I had with school. There were about ten girls in the child and day care class that I took my senior year and I was with most of these girls most of the mornings when he had class and then when we went and worked at the kindergarten center. The teacher is actually the teacher who inspired me to get my bachelors in Family and Consumer Sciences!!

The most memorable assignment I have from high school was taking home the fake baby in child development class. It was a rough 2 days and by the end of it I was ready to be done. When I took my baby back to school I cried when I got my bracelet taken off to relieve me from the baby, because it "stressed me out". Roughly 4 years later now I have 2 and want to work with children for a living! Crazy how that turned out!

Natalie Bierman Through my high school I made new friends, and lost some friends, but my Senior year was the best year yet! There as a girl that just moved to my high school her senior year. And we really didn't get to know each other until 2 months before we graduated. One day we were in PE, and we were rolling skating, and she was talking to me about something then we were laughing about what she said. We were going around the corner, and we were taking a sharp turn, and she grabbed my arm, and we both fell right on our butts. Now today we are the bests friends, and tell each other everything!

The prank was to put some kind of candy in her mouth to make it look as if she was foaming from the mouth and had a student thinking she was dying(kind of terrible now that i recall). The whole class was in on the prank except for the victim. The kid panicked and ran out of class crying.

The most memorable time I had in school was when I was in 2nd grade. My best friend and I were sitting at a table and he looked at me with huge eye and said “Oh no.” I said “What’s wrong?” He said “I think I have a crayon piece stuck in my nose!” - I instantly started busting out laughing and said “We should probably go tell Mrs. Bennett. Tanner was then sent to the bathroom and after about 35 minutes someone went to check on him and he was distraught. I guess the crayon piece was stuck and no matter how hard he blew his nose it wasn’t coming out. While it was a bit of a scare, it all turned out just fine and the doctor was able to quickly and easily get the crayon piece out and he was fine! I’ll never forget that!

One of my most favorite memories of school was my first grade teacher. She was new to the area, and didn't really fit in with all the other teachers, but absolutely loved her students with all her heart. She always took photos of the class, a lot of candid moments sometimes we would pose, but always taking photos for memories for us later on. She and her husband spent time with the kids outside of school, weekends and in the summer. I remember getting to go out to their house a lot and getting to make things to take home to my parents with her husband. We made many little animals out of tiny flower pots, and loads of photo frames for my mom. I still have a bunch of the things I made, and of course a whole shoe box of the photos she took of us. As I got older I thought they had moved out of the area, I hadn't heard much about her or her husband in years, until about 2 years ago they came into my place of work and I recognized her and when she saw my name she recognized me. It was so amazing getting to catch up with her and tell her about my son, and getting to see her husband after years! I'm so glad that I have the connections with them that I do, she's like the aunt I never really had.
Attached is a photo of my son's first year in preschool on Dr. Seuss week!

This is sad but one of my most memorable memory in school was when I was in 5th grade I lost one of my friends I had been in class with since Kindergarten. My friend is Jakorri. I was in every class with him from Kindergarten to 5th grade. Even though he was a classmate, we got along pretty well. I would help him with class assignments and play with him at recess when he didn't have anyone to play with. It wasn't until 3rd grade around Christmas time that he started acting differently. I didn't understand what could have been happening since I was so young. After Christmas break, the teacher announced that he was sick and had a brain tumor. I thought he would eventually get better. However, after the next few years, he got worse and worse. He was probably one of the smartest kids in the class and by the time he reached to 5th grade he couldn't write his name. My 5th grade year he helped me with watching the halls, which was a task the school gave a group of 5th graders. It really hurt me the worse he got because he eventually could not help me watch the halls anymore. Then when he could not come to school anymore, I knew he wasn't going to get any better. He passed away the day before my 11th birthday. I am so grateful that he taught me how to be a great friend and the fact that I got to know him. Here is a picture of him towards the end.

Throughout my middle/high school years, I was on the dance team! During High School, we took a Saturday and taught children a song to kiddie campers! I didn’t like wasting my Saturday away at the time teaching a dance to children, but let me say, I definitely miss it now! It was the best time ever and being able to have those children look up to you like they do. Also being the teenager that I was, I was also able to look back on it and see what I experienced doing it when I was a child, then from what I was doing it teaching it to children.

When I was a freshman our French club took a trip to San Genevieve, MO. We had already been on a 3 hour bus ride without stopping, our bus driver was a peach. So we finally get to the town and the driver doesn't listen to the teacher and we are lost. This was back before you could pull out your smartphone and use google maps. The bus driver refused to stop so we could use the bathroom or get directions. Finally about 30 minutes later we find where we are going. We step off the bus and it starts raining. Almost everything we were there to see you had to walk to. Worst school trip ever!!!

I think the most memorable moments were in the mornings during high school of my sophomore year. My friends and I would meet in the hallways, sit, and wait for classes to begin. Unfortunately, at least one of us felt so incredibly done with school every morning. Depending on the day, someone (or more than one) could be using my lap as a pillow. But what I remember most is when I came into school with a cold, went to the end of the hallway, found a dead bug laying down on its back, and said, "same." And I laid down next to it. From then on, it was always an inside joke. How are you? Oh, I'm a dead bug today.

When I was in High School at the end of the year we would have a special event called Water Olympics. The teams were divided by class for example freshman were a team, sophomores were a team, etc. My team won our Freshman, Sophomore, Junior, and Senior year! During the sign up time of which game you would like to participate in the school would not allow us to use one our classmates because they said it was cheating. We used him the first three years of high school and won. They said it was cheating because it was not fair to the other team to have a big buff tough guy on our team. This moment was memorable for me because even though we were not allowed to use him on our team we still won the Water Olympics.

Kelly Hills My junior year in high school our English class played a prank on the substitute teacher we had for two days that our regular teacher was out. Everyone in class switched assigned seats for those two days, which meant the wrong people were counted absent both days. The student that came around every class period to pick up the absentee list was very confused when there were names on the list that weren't actually absent, but they played along with it. When our teacher came back and found out what we had done the whole class got after school detention for two days. Needless to say our teacher and the principal seen the humor in what we had done.

I thought it was going to be a piece of cake, considering I had babysat younger kids before. It was definitely not easy. I could not figure out how to stop the baby from crying. I had changed the diaper, tried the bottle, rocked it, nothing worked. I was on the verge of crying. Finally, my mom came in the room and got it to stop crying after 5 minutes.

When I was in 4th grade we got to go to the star lab. This was like a huge blow up tent. All the kids got to go in and they had it set up like the star constellations. They would point out the big dipper, little dipper, milky way, and all the animals in the constellation. I loved learning about this because I have always been fascinated with just going outside at night and looking at the stars. I would always try to find the big dipper and watch forever waiting for a shooting star. That's one of my favorite memories from 4th grade.

My most memorable moment was my Senior graduation! As I was walking to the stage my family goes nuts like any family would! Then all of a sudden all I hear is “Way to go Belleybutt! Your bags are packed and ready!” My dad thought it was just so funny to call me by my nickname and joke about finally getting me off to college and out of the house. As a Senior it’s embarrassing to be called by your nickname in front of the entire school. After the ceremony my family through me a graduation party and as I was cutting the cake my best friend Shyannah comes out of know where and shoves cake in my face and causes a food fight! Needless to say my parents kitchen was covered in cake and guess what two girls had to clean it up afterwards! It was one of the funniest and best days of my life so far!
The picture is my best friend Shyannah and I! She is on the left and I’m in the right!

We would practice with a group of people almost every night until the day arrived. We had made shirts to wear and had to make sure to cover them up so no one could see them until the performance. Everyone was really nervous but we all went out and did a really good job! The dance was “We are all in this Together” from High School Musical.

I ended up not going on my senior trip so instead of just staying home during those few days I decided it would be a great opportunity to see what it was like to spend a few whole days in kindergarten AGAIN. the first full day of me being in the classroom was not so normal it just so happened to be the 100th day of school. Since it was the 100th day of school they had stations in each of the kindergarten classrooms so students from all classes went to every classroom so I not only spent the day with Mrs. Sackriders kindergarten class , I spent it with the entire kindergarten! I
t was a blast!

My favorite part of the day my senior year of high school was when I got to be an aid in our local preschool. Well one of my favorite memories was during homecoming week. I had been chosen to be one of the homecoming queen candidates, and I was super nervous. The preschool teacher I was working with, Miss Shadwell, was one of the younger teachers and we had become good friends over the year. Well she had known that I was really anxious about being one of the queen candidates, because some of my friends had started spreading rumors about me that weren't true. Anyways, I came into her classroom one day and I was overjoyed to see a lot of the students had created posters for me. They were rooting me on telling me that I was the best, and I would always be their homecoming queen. I started crying and we had to take pictures. At the end of the week, I was voted homecoming queen. If you want to see what I look like find Homecoming Week Part 2!
Kaytlin Tucker

My school moment isn't exactly funny, although you will be laughing.
I was in Driver's Ed and we were doing our driving lesson. It was a grey, rainy and dreary day. The teacher always had the radio on while we were driving to help us learn to drive with distraction. There were 2 other students and the teacher in the car with me. When it was my turn to drive, we drove the county highway to Mt Zion (from Bethany). It was my first time driving ever. And just my luck there was construction as well as the rain, the windshield wipers, the wind from the two front windows slightly rolled down for air, the kids in the backseat, the teacher giving me instructions about driving in construction and the radio. A good song came on and we weren't allowed to turn up the radio, so I decided to roll up my window. I kept hitting the button but my window wouldn't go up. All of a sudden my teacher screams. Apparently I had rolled up his window instead and broke his finger!!!!!
According to my cousin, who was a year behind me, the radio was not allowed to be on anymore. OOPS!!!!
-Stephanie Miller

In high school, I had a teacher that was always in a good mood. He did something ever week called "Wednesday Wisdom". He would find something that DID NOT relate to the class in any way but would help us out in the "real world" as he called it. Sometimes it would just be a vocabulary word that we would have to look up and draw the definition. When he would do that, he would show all the drawings on the board through a projector. It was very funny to see the different personalities of my classmates just through drawings of how they saw the vocabulary word. I remember one drawing that had the body of a cow with the face of the person who drew in sunbathing on the beach and it was all basic drawing skills. This classmate of mine did not take a single art class and it showed. I think the one-year-olds I work with could do it better.

I tap on someones shoulder to get someones attention. I got so much in trouble for that. At the end of the school year in May I visited a deaf class room with my family and I fit in so quickly. The kids communicated just like I did, some could talk and some could not. The teachers used sign language and that is my 1st language. I did two years of intense speech therapy. At the age of 6 years old I said my 1st words. The deaf classroom had changed my life and I am very grateful for that.

When a student's name got picked that week that whole week was about that person. The week I got to be the star student in the morning of each day there would be a question about what my favorite things were and my classmates would have to try and guess what they were.
It was my freshman year and I had shot my first deer. I attended a school that was 1/10 redneck, and the rest were known as "city slickers". In my Geography and History of the World class we did current events of the world and of our personal life. I decided to share Monday that I shot an 8-point buck, and EVERYONE looked at me like I was crazy. One peer of mine asked if I was sane and why I shot an innocent animal. I asked them where they thought steak and bacon came from. They never bothered me after that.

It was my senior year, and I had been making TikTok with my friends and fell through a glass window, and then 2 days later I was back at school, which I was on crutches and had a huge brace on my leg, and EVERYONE had seen the video so it was constant funny joke for awhile. I ended up getting an elevator key, but the elevator was creepy and old so I wouldn’t use it and decided it would be smart to crutch up and down 4 flights of stairs every day, all day, and just when I thought I was doing great for crutching up stairs all the time, my crutch slipped from behind me which made me fall forward and fall down the stairs. Luckily no one saw, but I laid on the stairs uncontrollably laughing because I had just jinxed myself 10 minutes before to my friend saying that this was my last day at school on crutches, and for 2 weeks I’ve been crutching up and down 4 flights of stairs everyday and haven’t fell.

Our history teacher was super laid back and normally let us do whatever we wanted. One of my classmates (always the class clown) decided that during the middle of this substitute talking decided he was going to ask if he could sing. Everyone started laughing because we knew he was trying to be funny (she however did not). Anyway he didn't think she would actually make him sing (she did) so he had to stand in front of the class and sing "Aint no mountain high enough" theres tons of videos of it to this day. He ended up getting a detention for it the next day, but we laughed while we could.
-Taylor Daugherty

In high school we had a child development class that we could take that required the students to bring home a baby doll that was programed to react and act like a real baby. It was a little overwhelming but hilarious to watch all my friends carry around this electronic baby doll that was literally inconsolable. A few friends and I went on a "girls retreat" to a cabin and one of my friends thought it would be funny to hide my other friend's baby doll. Now mind you, this baby doll was almost like the real deal. So, after hearing this doll cry though the night, the baby was placed in a cooler on the back porch of the cabin. It was hilarious watching everyone frantically look for this baby doll. You would've thought we were in one of those a low-budget Lifetime movies.

I had a 2013 Chevy Spark at the time and me and two of the guys in my class shot one of the scenes in my tiny car and when we started to drive away we blasted A Thousand Miles and drove off. The next scene is when we "pulled up" to the battle playing Ridin'. This was also during homecoming week when we made it so there are crazy costume changes in each clip that was put together. It cracked us all up and our teacher played it for all of her classes since it was funny.

A funny moment I remember from school was in 6th grade. We had to present for 15 minutes on a topic for geography. I chose Egypt and decided to dress-up as an Egyptian. I glued black yarn to a bowl that was way too small for my head and wore a white night gown from my grandma. When I went to the bathroom to change, I looked at the mirror in horror regretting my decision. I took way to long as I was debating on changing back to my regular clothes, so a friend came in to check on me and started bursting out laughing as soon as she laid eyes on me. That made me laugh and we both were laughing all the way back to class. I was still nervous, but I laughed it off.

You know the one I am talking about, the one that sits there and lets you guys do whatever you please. At my school, we called this sub sleepy Jim. If the name doesn't give it away, Sleepy Jim would come to class and sleep, sometimes he would even snore. Except for one day, he decided to check his facebook. Unfortunately, he forgot the smart board was on and decided to update his facebook status.

Once I hit high school I become a bit lazy, and interested in other things. For a history class we were put into groups of three and told to write out a skit that we would later act out in front of the class. So my friend John, myself and a female classmate were all grouped up to do a bit on something about middle eastern history I think. What I do remember is my friend and I being the lazy boys we were and letting our classmate do all the writing, and we were going be the ones acting it out for the class. She was ok with this because she did not want to be in front of the class. Well the big day came and nether myself nor John had memorized let alone even read our lines. But we had our costumes and luck that we rode the bus with her. We crammed our lines in on bus ride to school, got to history class and got up in front of the class. I improved the best I could, and john responded with " um I guess we will force our way into the Muslim market" that's it that's all he knew our project was about. I was dumbstruck and the class erupted in laughter. We ended up barely passing the project, but everyone had a good laugh minus us who were confused. Even Our project mate laughed so much she was ok with the C.

After playing a game in PE where we had use our arms to hit a ball, my right arm was really bothering me. I tell her I'm a straight A student why would I care about taking a test. Now she had been our sub for a few weeks before this happened and I knew her kids so its not like she didn't know me very well. I couldn't understand why she didn't believe me. I tried taking the test with my left hand since i couldn't write with my right. I went back up to tell her my arm really hurt. Finally I told her I felt like I was going to throw up and she let me go to the nurse. The nurse called my mom to come get me and we went to the dr.
I was taking a French class. We were to write on the board about class. I choose to write about Tuesdays ( Mardi ) because I loved my French class and looked forward to Tuesdays. I even talked about how long this particular Tuesday had been. My teacher by this time is dying laughing. I asked her " um.. did I say something wrong?' She said you're trying to say Mardi (Tuesday ) right? But the word your writing is Merde. People that word means sh_ _! I was mortified.

One day my math teacher left the window opened and a bird flew in our classroom. My teacher who was approximately 250 pounds was so terrified he started hiding under the desk. LOL! we managed to finally get the bird out the classroom and my math teacher said "well I wasn't scared, that bird didn't want none of me". We just all laughed and joked about it for the rest of the day. That really lighten the tension from us being so stressed. We still talk about it still to this day.

In this class, we dissected different animals and had to learn about the anatomy of that specific animal. One week we dissected a small shark. They made the entire hallway smell disgusting. I wasn't very interested in dissecting this certain animal so I kind of sat back and watched and let the rest of my group get their hands dirty. I remember one of my classmates was kind of the "class clown" and he wanted to squeeze a sac from inside the shark. He ended up popping it and it got all over another student's hair. Luckily, she wasn't upset and we all were laughing and grossed out at the same time.

The teacher decided to make it into an assignment where we each had to make our own "Flat Stanley". We were allowed to use our imagination and make it anything we wanted. We had to take our "Flat Stanley" on an adventure. After we created the adventure and the cut-out of the "Flat Stanley", we then had to present to the class. This gave us the opportunity to tell the class about the adventure our "Flat Stanley" had went on. I felt this was a great assignment because it was very fun and exciting.

She was a good teacher, but she let us get away with to much and her form of punishment for doing something wrong was to right the definition to quiet. I know this is not starting off funny, but to a young child the funny thing was making the teacher turn red and then before she counted to ten we would all be quiet just to make sure we didn't get in trouble. I may regret doing that to my teacher now, but at the time my class and I thought it was so fun to aggravate her.
Alecia Luebbe - Intro to ECE Spring 2023

He liked to give us a hard time and any time we would complain he would say "Go start a fan club with the rest of you haters". I liked to talk a lot so of course I was named president of said "club". Our last week of school we surprised him as a part of our senior prank with matching I Hate Mr. Allen Fan Club Shirts and a big group breakfast in his room. Even other teachers had shirts and wore them too! Now, 10+ years later - he's the principal of the high school and still an amazing teacher that goes above and beyond caring about the kids!

It has been over 5 years since I’ve graduated high school so I don’t remember much. I’ve tried the last two days to think of a funny thing in school and this is the funniest I can’t remember. The funniest thing I remember from school was back in junior high school. We were in P.E class. We got to listen to music over the gymnasium speakers most of the time. The school had their own CD’s that we played. There was a song that was very popular at the time and everyone was singing it. The teacher didn’t know the song so she had no idea what the song said. So all of the students are singing every word to the song. So when the song gets to the chorus, everyone just starts shouting the words. A few of the words were very bad words, cuss words. The teacher flipped out! She ran and was screaming “No! No! No!” and just freaking out. She didn’t know how to turn off the music or turn it down or anything. So she’s struggling a bunch and trying to turn off this bad song while the whole class just kept singing and saying “don’t turn it off, it’s a good song!” By the time she figured it out and a student finally helped, the song was over.

I graduated from high school in 2017, which seems like both yesterday and forever ago all at once. The best thing about my school was our annual "Battle of the Halls" where each grade got a section of the school to decorate according to a specific theme. My senior year it was Christmas books or movies. We picked The Grinch. We made sets, put up a ton of Christmas trees, and dressed a classmate as our own Grinch living in a mountain living above Whoville. It was so much fun! If your grade won then your whole class got a cookout on the school patio and out of two classes. The best thing? My class won our freshman, sophomore, junior, AND SENIOR YEARS! We were unstoppable and it was always amazing. Pictured was the main group of us who stayed at the school until 10 pm to finish everything up to make sure it was perfect.

The one thing that kept coming to mind was my 8th-grade year when I was in volleyball. I have never been very athletic-but man did I try to be. I remember being in the gym in a circle practicing with some other members of the volleyball team. While being in a circle I decided to try my hand at spiking the ball. WHAM! Right into my good friend's face. Blood began pouring from her nose. Her mom came to pick her up. When I saw her the next day she looked rough. I did that. Turned out I had broken her nose.
FOOD PARTY- Christina Spence The funniest event I can remember was when I was in high school, I had a language arts teacher that was younger, and she had a certain attitude about her that made you just not mess with her! She in other words took no crap and expected her room to be completely clean and no food at all was to be eaten in her class. She was very well liked and coached the girls' soccer team, so our class had a good rapport with her. She had to leave for something and so we had a sub one afternoon and we began brainstorming something to do for the end of the year. We had the bright idea of a food party where everyone would bring a dish and we would eat all period long. Huge problem with that plan our teacher would NEVER allow this to happen. As we are discussing our sub chimes in and says well, I'll be subbing for your class next week and I will let you guys do this. Instantly we all erupted in excitement this was going to happen and we were going to feast! We put together a group chat and started planning what each student would bring. The day came and we had to be so sneaky as the no food rule also implied for all of our classes. Kids were running through the halls with crockpots, hiding cookies under their jackets it was hilarious. We enjoyed that entire food day and then had to use tape to pick up crumbs and sprinkles from her carpet floor so there would be absolutely no trace. We kept things quiet, and our plan actually worked thanks to the substitute, and she did not find out. For weeks we openly made funny inside jokes and talked about it in class. The last day of school came, and we decided we had to tell her just how we executed this party. We sat her down and explained everything and she erupted in laughter and then confusion and then anger as she yelled YOU DIDNT SHARE WITH ME! We all spent the rest of class laughing about all the madness and planning this took. Ultimately Katie our teacher was not mad that we did this she was just upset we didn't include her. We thought she would never let us do this, so we felt a little bad. This will forever be such a fun memory of school for me.

I have no idea if high school counts but the days in high school were the best. On multiple occasions I would be smiling laughing and having a grand time. One time in class my class was assigned to build whatever we liked, well for my project I needed someone bigger to help me lift things, I had chosen my cousin. My cousin is not huge but he is not tiny. I was building a special night stand that could have a dog bed at the bottom. Well, in the middle of the build I had asked him "when it is all built can you test it out for me". I was not finished yet, I had multiple things to screw together. My cousin climbs up on the table right next to as I am grabbing screws, i had turned around to him (testing it out).

I’m sure you all know about the school picnics and we’ve all had before. It was my 8th grade picnic and my school had a huge BBQ, links were on the menu. By the time it was my class’s turn to eat there weren’t anymore beef hot links. There was this boy in my class that always made beats so of course he started making one. Everyone was just vibing to the beat it sounded so cool. Next thing you know he just started shouting “I want a beef hot link, feed me a beef hot link”. Before you know the whole entire class started shouting it to the next, then the whole playground. Everyone started mimicking the beat as we all got louder. It was almost like we were performing a song about beef hot links. It was so hilarious , although we were uncontrollably loud the teachers could do nothing but laugh. That hour outside had the whole school laughing for the remaining of the school year.

Dominique M

She was honestly the best, and everyday was a guessing game of what she was going to do that day. Her and the teacher next door had taught together for years, and loved to pester each other. She would scream at him daily to come to her classroom just to ask what was he teaching that day, or she had just read something in the paper that she wanted to debate with him on. She was bold, and did her own thing, but had the respect and love of everyone in her class. I took a class with her that there were only 3 of us that survived the first semester, so by second semester she was dismissing us early to go to lunch with her. We never complained of the work she gave us and not once were we late on assignments. She definitely knew how to keep us all engaged, even if we hated the class we were taking.

I had to really think about this because I have been out of school for too many years. It was fun but funny thinking back on it. Every Halloween a group of kids would go around town and find someone's outhouse. They would take the outhouse and put it on top of the high school. When everyone arrived at school the next morning, the outhouse would be sitting on the roof. Everyone would look forward to seeing who's outhouse was chosen to be put on top of the high school. Once everyone was at school the teachers would choose a group of boys to return the outhouse to the owner. It was all done in fun and teachers expected it to be done every year. When there wasn't any more toilets to be found later classes would find bathroom stools to put on the roof. Then everything changed and the tradition was band by the school.
C. King

In eighth grade I had a history teacher who was everyone's favorite. He made his class extremely interesting and was always making jokes. I'll never forget the day we took our US Constitution test. We went downstairs to the basement where our cafeteria was for the test. So he could spread everyone out. The test was split into two different sections on two different days. It was day two of the test. I had finished the test. I was apart of yearbook and went to go speak to the counselor in charge of yearbook to see what needed completed still. Once I got the camera I went to the bathroom and headed back downstairs to my class. While on my way back down my best friend Kelly was heading upstairs to find me. She slipped and fell down the stairs. She was the best at making a bad moment a hilarious moment. She yelled, "Oh Lort Help me." As I was heading down the stairs to get to her our teacher then walked into the area where the stair were. He stared at her and said, " Oh Lord Kelly are you okay? I thought a pipe broke I didn't realize you fell." After that day in his class we'd laugh about the situation. He continued to make jokes about the Lord helping us and pipes breaking.

She wasn't hurt and we laughed about it for the rest of the year.

The funniest thing or event I can remember was when I would have a substitute teacher. There isn't a specific memory in mind but usually throughout my whole elementary school experience. During the time I would have a sub teacher all the goody-two-shoes (even myself) would always be "bad" or play around way too much. The days back in elementary school used to be so funny that it felt like an adventure that I never wanted to end. From leaving the classroom to walk around the school to sneaking into other people's classes, it was always fun. I had a favorite sub who would come in and let us do whatever we wanted. I would categorize substitutes into 3 categories, the overly strict sub, the one that doesn't do anything, and then the one who acts like the teacher. I wish I could provide an actual story/moment, but I can't think of one.

Nia Campbell

Some say this isn't exactly a funny story but as an 8th grader it was flippin hilarious!!! We had a really cool laid back science teacher named Mrs. Harvey. She was the cool lady who never really got onto us too hard and other than boring notes on a projector always made the class fun. We even caught her smoking cigarettes on her lunch break a few times, and back in the 90's teachers were held to a different standard so it was quite shocking!! So one day we started class like any other day when she stopped and had a boy named Jason come to the front of the class. Told him to lift his shirt up. She then told him to pull that out VERY SLOWLY......hang with me it's not as bad as it sounds!! The boy pulled out a huge MACHETE from the front of his pants!!! The look on her face was purely "How dumb can you be!", but dear, cool, sweet, Mrs. Harveys response i will never forget. She asked him "Didn't you think about how that might cut something off?!?!!" The whole class was dying laughing! She didn't call the principal, didn't cause a lockdown, she just set it on her desk and told him to go sit down and went back to writing notes on the projector. He later informed her that he had found it on the way to school and thought it would be cool to take home. I am pretty sure he got suspended for a few days after that.

We would have pep rallies and they would have a hypnotist come in. It was super entertaining. They were "sunbathing with no clothes on" they were "scared of a specific person" just the off the wall things that hypnotist do. And it was a "thing" that started, and unfortunately ended, with my senior class, that we would all bring bouncy balls to pep rallies and just throw them. The challenge was throwing them and not getting caught! This lasted my senior year, and at graduation we had over 10,000 bouncy balls that when our class was announced they went flying. Needless to say, the classes after us were threatened and told that this would not happen.

A funny memory I had from school occurred when my financial algebra class had a permanent substitute teacher after our normal teacher went on maternity leave. Everyday when we got to class, we did our work and even tests if we had them. Everyday was always a joy because everyone got along well and wanted to succeed. The substitute teacher was one who was very keen and playful so he would always joke around with us to keep us energized given the class was held in the morning. One morning, a girl from our class took her wig off and sat it on the table because she was hot. The male substitute teacher, who was about 50+ years in age, took it upon himself to take my fellow classmate’s wig and put it on top of his head. He walked around with it for a good 30 minutes and was flipping it around like girls do while he assisted us in our schoolwork. That day we seen how our substitute teacher held onto his youth and liveliness by being so comical about something he knew would give our generation a good laugh. It was the laugh for the rest of the semester.

I had history after lunch and sometimes me and my friend would finish lunch early and just lounge in our seats in that class before anyone got there. One day my friend and I were finishing off a bag of chips when I got the random idea to put one chip on each desk. It was so stupid and innocent but we didn't want anyone to know it was us so we threw the chip bag away in the bathroom and waited until someone else came into the classroom so we could sit back down. Everyone strolled in at the same time and were obviously confused about why there was one pitiful little chip on each table. There was a group of athletes that all sat together and I remember one of them getting up to throw away the chip and then the other one was frantically like, "Dude, no! Don't! That could be part for the assignment today!" My friend and I looked at each other and busted out laughing and to this day it is probably my most successful prank.

I have been out of school since 2005, so I do not remember any funny thing or memory I have had in school. One think I remember is in Junior High I spilt milk on my pants and called my mom crying because I did not want to wear those pants the rest of the day. I also in elementary school used to take barbies to school to play with friends and we were late getting to line so we had to write sentences about being in line when it was time to line up.
