A little about me, I’ve always been known as a friendly and collaborative person, and I genuinely enjoy working with others. My friends and colleagues often tell me that I work well in a group, which has been a big part of my journey in both academics and my career. Over the years, I’ve had the opportunity to manage and contribute to various projects. This has helped me develop skills in teamwork, leadership, and problem-solving.

But before we go any further into my past experience, here’s a fun fact about me. I love watching movies and reading fictional books, especially those with investigative and mind-bending plots. If you’re into Christopher Nolan’s films, we already have something in common! 🎬 I also try my hand at making desserts when I can, though lately, cafe hunting has been my go-to way of indulging in sweet treats 🍰☕(it helps when you have a friend with the same interest!)

I’ve been working at UUM for nearly 9 years now, and I can truly say that it has been an amazing experience. It feels like my true calling, as I have always loved teaching. Apart from teaching, currently, I hold the position of Manager for Business Development and Investments at BSD (Business and Strategic Development), where I oversee various projects related to business development, investment opportunities, and strategic initiatives for the university.

Over the years, I’ve been involved in many projects, but some of the most memorable ones include managing conferences, leading community projects, and developing business ideas for the university.

After taking the personality test, I found out that I am an ENFJ (The Protagonist) and I think the description fits me quite well. ENFJs are natural leaders, motivators, and connectors. We thrive on inspiring others, creating meaningful relationships, and helping teams work towards a shared goal. I genuinely enjoy guiding people, bringing out the best in them, and keeping the harmony in the team. Usually in teams, I try to make sure communication flows smoothly and everyone feels included. If there's one thing I love, it's solving problems (well, not all problems—just the interesting ones). When it comes to working on projects, I’m the one who likes to break things down, strategize, and find the most efficient way to get things done. I thrive in roles where I can analyze, plan, and bring structure to chaos. That said, I do prefer working independently most of the time (group work can be… an experience 😂), but I’m always open to learning and experiencing different things.

Now, let’s talk about fun stuff—I’m a huge fan of desserts (cake, ice cream, you name it! 🍰🍦), I love running to clear my mind, and I’m always up for exploring new things! In the past, I worked on a group project where we had to create a presentation. One of my favourite things to do in my free time is watch anime 🎥. I like anime because it teaches me about different stories, emotions, and teamwork. Starting from Sem 2, I was given many opportunities to join events that I truly cherish. Through these experiences, I realised that I have strong leadership skills. I usually make forecasts for events to ensure I am fully prepared to face any challeges that arise. I also enjoy guiding people because it allows me to bring out the best in them, as some of them are "hidden gems". Seeing someone improve or "grow" really fills me with graditude.
