I am a mom to a wonderful eight year old who happened to be diagnosed with autism.
I strive to be an elementary teacher with the emphasis on special education. At the moment I work as a special education instructional assistant in a charter school in Silver Lake. I have also started an internship as a resource specialist teacher to help me gain the skills needed when I become a special education teacher.

The reason why I decided to work with children with autism, other special needs, and learning disabilities.
We have worked hard to finally integrate him to a general education setting rather than a special education class. He is a very special boy and the amounts of therapy (ABA therapy, OT, and Speech).
