Which parts of your identity do you think are chosen by you, and which are shaped by society? Why?

In my opinion the parts of my identity that I have chosen are my closeness to music since I feel that my likes in music reflect the person who I am and I don't really tend to hide my liked songs to the people I know; another part of my identity that I have chosen is my hobbies, because I think I tend to do whatever I really like and what I am into, not caring about what other people think about them. In the other hand parts of my identity that I think society shaped into me is my political view, since I started hearing about it when I couldn't generate an objective opinion due to my age; and another thing that constitutes my identity that society has fit into me is my lifestyle, this due to that I adopted the lifestyle that my parents had, interacting with people with similar lifestyles shaping my view into what I like nowadays.

Even though I think that this are some parts of my identities I've either decided or achieved due to society, I think that this varies from person to person based in their way of being and strengths

Why is it important to look at overlapping identities instead of treating people as if they belong to only one group? How can this thinking help create a fairer society?

I consider that it is important that we understand the different parts that constitute the identity of a person and not categorize them into only one since in that way we are able to completely appreciate the privileges and handicaps people have, this due to that as humans we are very complex beings that have more than one trait that identify us, therefore it is unfair to focus only in one thing as we might end up being unfair due to us ignoring a handicap someone has and only focusing on their privileges or vice versa, not acknowledging the privileges someone has due to a strong handicap. Due to this I think that we can create a fairer society by looking at the whole identity, acknowledging both the privileges and handicaps in order to have a more objective point about someone.

What qualities or actions do you think are needed to become an activist?

In my opinion the first step to become an activist is having the will to fight, to be determined and not give up easily, because being an activist is a rough, hard and dangerous decision. Some other important qualities you need to have is being persuasive and charming as for you activism to success you might need a following of people who want to fight your same fight, you need to defy what is socially established at the moment and be confident in yourself and your fight, you need to be brave and you can start your path to activism by following an activist who you relate to.

What message do you think this U2 song is trying to share about culture, identity, or human experience? Why do you think it matters?

I feel like U2's song "Sunday, Bloody Sunday" talks about how cultural violence and conflict affect people’s lives. It tells us the story of “Bloody Sunday,” when peaceful Northern Irish protesters were killed by british soldiers. But instead of focusing just on that specific moment, U2 uses it to show how political and religious divisions can tear communities apart and make people forget their shared humanity. In my opinion it is important to take this key point that U2 is talking about because after all we live in a multicultural world where many differents cultures coexist, there doesn't exist anymore places were only one culture develops, and due to that i think that it is important to learn how to share the world with people who don't view the world the same way as we do.

How do you think globalization influences the way artists from different parts of the world express their ideas and emotions?

In my opinion globalization has a huge influence on how artists express their ideas and emotions because it connects people and cultures in ways that weren’t possible before. Through the internet, social media, and travel, artists are constantly exposed to new styles, languages, and perspectives from around the world. This allows them to blend different cultural elements and create art.

At the same time, globalization gives artists a bigger platform to share their work and communicate ideas about social issues, identity, or emotion with a global audience.

Finally I think globalization is a mean in which art can be transmitted but that due to its nature it tends to transmit whatever the context of the recipient is.
