Even though the pipeline does not have any emanate issues, it could have some potential hazards that would effect the Dakota Indians in that area. They say that the pipeline runs through sacred ground that is not on their reservation. They also say that it could pollute their water if it were to fail. The issue is a little more complicated than that, more people like environmentalist and some farmers support the Standing Rock Sioux tribes in protests and rally in North Dakota. They say that the pipeline will run right through their sacred land where hunters and gathers of tribes before them were buried. They also claim that if the pipeline were to fail, then their only source of water will be polluted. On the other hand, the U.S. Supreme court has already said yes to the project and construction is underway.
