I felt I learnt alot from that 3 hours about some of the traditions in Thailand such as why there is so much coconut present in their food or why the food in ratchaburi is sweeter than other food in Thailand. 

I appreciated the kind and patient instructors for putting the effort into teaching us how to crochet or how to make the deserts. I can say that I came out with a better understanding and appreciation of Thai culture through this activity.


I also quite enjoyed the excursion to True Digital Park. It really opened my eyes to how much effort Thailand has put in to foster collaboration between other countries such as Singapore and Japan, as well as how much they value initiative and ingenuity. I was blown away by the facilities they offered there such as constructible office spaces, nap rooms and even a running track. I hope to be able to return one day as an entrepreneur or even a venture capitalist haha... 

The takeaway for me from True Digital Park is that there is more to everything beyond what we can see. Take for example, the open space offices avaliable to the public. It might seem like a waste to incorporate such spaces, but it actually heavily supports upcoming startups or firms who might not have an office to work in by providing them with the space to not only be productive, but also give them natural opportunities to network to the various people around True Digital Park.

Many of us felt that we were being brought to industries that we weren't interested it and just simply wanted to go out and explore more landmarks in Bangkok. We also spent travelling for almost hours during the museum day just for it to be closed early and throughout that day just felt like a drag and didn't really enrich me into Thailand and it's culture. The design store as well, the products were cool, but having the students sit down and watch a 40-minute video about the company just felt like an unskippable ad and drained many of us first thing in the morning. This doesn't mean that I didn't enjoy the trip because there were many things about it to love, they are just my opinion of the moments that felt irrelevant and unneccessary. I think that perhaps the hardware to carry out the activities, specifically the food sensor workshop were not up to par. I think if not for that mishap, more of us would have been able to really play around with the coding of the food sensor to categorize the different tom yum soups based on the detected ingredients. 

I also felt that maybe the coding was a tad bit too complicated for most of us, even after taking python last semester, I felt that it was still rather confusing, so I can only imagine how those without any coding experience would feel through the activity. 

I felt that the speaker's explanation on the history of the ingredients we see in Thailand could also have been more succinct, but overall I am happy on the level of knowledge he has passed down to us via his lecture.

I had a very memorable experience seeing Mr Pp Krit at siam central. It was a big cultural difference between the treatment of their local celebrities compared to Singapore. In Thailand many local fans were trying to get pictures and videos of their local celebrities. There were many people also supporting him and cheering for him. Thai celebrities are also used with Thai and foreign products to promote it to the local fanbase.
