I chose this theme because it keeps repeating over and over. Like when Carley ran away on Hunt pg.41. She took that for granted and just didn't care but she was really hurt. In the book it also said that " I was standing holding the CD behind me." She just skipped school to go somewhere and didn't think of the consequences on Hunt pg. 54.  All of those examples show that Carley just kind of took things for granted and didn't really appreciate everything Mrs. Murphy was doing for her. She bought her clothes and made sure she felt ok and comfortable.
