This collage shows my progress in the beginning of Art 2. In the bottom row, my ability started with not much detail, but i learned to add color and fill the page better. I developed my SMART goals of adding color and detail to my sketches which improved my looking at the top row.

What i learned and practiced about oil pastels and mixed media experimentation was how the different skill worked together and how the oil pastels blended together.

Master Inspired

The way i was inspired by Michael graves artwork to create another kitchen appliance.Techniques and materials i applied were shading to show my inspiration from Michael graves.Critique and Rubric feedback results showed my string areas were how neat it looks and the straight lines and my areas to grow were to add more shading i revised my artwork by adding more shading. What i learned from this project was how the process of inspiration works.

Q1 Master Study

A master study is studying the artist work to form an understanding on how the art work and thinking process was created. What i learned about artistic inspiration was how each artist is different and each process is different. The attached image was my master study after i read and researched my artist. I learned different techniques with shading.

Messy Memory

I chose to create an image of an umbrella with the oil pastel techniques of blending . The idea was to create an image of a rainy muddy day. This was my first major art project of art 2. Critique and rubric results showed my strong areas were my color choices and my areas to grow were blending more i revised my work by trying to add more oli pastel to blend it easier.

Q1 Reflection

So far this year art has been nice and relaxing i like having art first period to start off the day. I have learned many techniques with oil pastels and shading. My goals for Q2 are to improve on adding more detail and taking more time with my artwork.
