She is talking about re tweeting her post if you have been affected by any type of cyber bullying and it had many retweets. It can show individuals that may be experiencing it that they are not alone and there is ways to overcome this bump in the road

This woman is covering her face with a finger pointing at her as if she is being humiliated or sad that this is happening to her. This is how many people feel when going through this themselves.

I thought it would be interesting to incorporate some of the guidelines popular social media outlets have put in place in order to reduce cyberbullying. Instagram has a pretty strict policy and is able to delete someone's account after reviewing it if someone does this but somehow it still happens to many people. This goes to show that although there may be efforts put in place to stop cyberbullying, it really takes the community as a whole to put this vicious trend at rest.

This was an article I found on facebook about west virgina passing a law making cyberbullying punishable with jail time. It stated that the law was passed due to the amount of people committing suicide due to mean things being said on social media. They thought the best thing to do was make a harsh punishment for doing something like this so that it would decrease not only the suicide rates but also the act of cyberbullying.

This is a tweet that the president on the United states of America made about another person. He is one of the biggest influencers in the world and is caught in the act numerous times cyber bullying. Many people are talking about this online because his wife is an advocate for cyber bullying but he is doing just that. A lot of people are upset about this including myself. As said before, change takes time but it all starts with the whole community and if the biggest influencer in America is not taking a stand, many wont see the need in doing it themselves. Cyberbullying is a terrible thing to do to another person and it must be stopped. It is still happening a lot online and needs to be discussed more in schools, television, and even social media posts in order to educate others on the dangers.

As a child I always wanted to fit in with my friends. I would try to sneak out of my house when they would tell me to, post pictures of them on my facebook page and even do things that I knew was not the right thing to do. I was so caught up in the online world I would do anything just to get my friends or anyone else out there to see me as the "cool" girl. Unfortunately, to them being cool was being mean to others online. When a new girl came to my school everyone left her out. She moved from Brampton and at the time I was living in Scarborough. Not one person liked her in that school and their reason was because she was new. They would say mean things about the way she dressed under her facebook pictures and even would threaten to go to her house to throw rocks at her window. They wanted me to get involved because they knew I spoke to her in class and really did not have a problem being her friend. That day they gave me an ultimatum, cyberbully her or be cyberbullied. I did not have the heart to bully her or anyone else so we both decided to take the matter into the hands of our principal even if that meant losing all my friends. In the end, they ended up being suspended, had a talk with a police officer about cyberbullying and although we were no longer were friend, that is how I met my best friend. We created a mini campaign at our school to fight against cyber bullying and from that day, I try to help anyone that is being bullied online or offline because the feeling is not nice. It could result in anxiety disorders, suicide, and many other things. No life should be taken, especially because of something horrible someone has said and damaged another human. No life is less important than anyone else's. That experience taught me a lot.
