 Two $3,000 Academic Scholarships to be awarded in Spring and Fall Semesters 

One of the primary goals of CFMA is education. Qualified employees are needed in the field of construction accounting and finance. This need will largely be filled by students graduating from one of our area schools. The Dallas/Fort Worth Chapter of the Construction Financial Management Association (CFMA) has established a Scholarship program to award Scholarships to qualified candidates. These scholarships are an investment in the field of construction, and in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. They provide promising construction professionals with financial assistance while completing their studies. 

Scholarships are awarded twice a year, once during the spring and once during the fall. Scholarship applications must be received no later than May 15th for the Spring 2026 Scholarship. Previous recipients are eligible to re-apply in any semester for which they qualify, but a new application must be submitted each time. 

Submit your completed application form, letter of recommendation, essay and college transcript by the dates listed above to the Scholarship Committee Chair, as follows. The preferred method for submission is email.

The SERU Survey is UT Austin’s most comprehensive survey of student engagement and experience. The survey asks students about various curricular and co-curricular topics, including research activity, financial experiences, campus climate, and postgraduate career plans. The SERU survey aims to provide a holistic understanding of what it’s like to be a student at UT Austin, and the results from the survey are used to improve programs and policies that impact the student experience.

UT Austin is part of the Student Experience in the Research University (SERU) Consortium, which includes peer universities such as the University of California System, the University of Michigan, the University of North Carolina, and the University of Virginia. There is both an undergraduate and graduate version of the SERU survey.
