We’ve been reviewing some of our previous classes and lessons on things like biomass, bioaccumutaion, and biodiversity. Things like how a food pyramid would be used to show biomass and bioaccumulation, whereas a food web would be used to show biodiversity and the flow of energy. Something else that we’ve recently been taught about is bioaccumulation. An example of bioaccumulation  is when an biotic being consumes mercury. That mercury will stay within the being’s body, and would not be eliminated through defecation. That same mercury would then be transported into the consumer of that being when it hunts down the being for food. We were then expected to utilize the information that has been researched, and to conduct an experiment in which we will record data and to write down anything that we’ve observed.
