         <description><![CDATA[<div>Lately we’ve been going over some outcomes in preparation for our up coming unit test on the subject of ecology. We’ve been reviewing some of our previous classes and lessons on things like biomass, bioaccumutaion, and biodiversity. Things like how a food pyramid would be used to show biomass and bioaccumulation, whereas a food web would be used to show biodiversity and the flow of energy. Something else that we are currently reviewing is the different stages of an ecosystem, ranging from individual to population, followed by community ect. </div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Lately we’ve learned about some cycles and reviewed some old ones such as the hydrological Cycle, the carbon cycle, the flow of energy, and the flow of matter. Something else that we’ve recently been taught about is bioaccumulation. An example of bioaccumulation  is when an biotic being consumes mercury. That mercury will stay within the being’s body, and would not be eliminated through defecation. That same mercury would then be transported into the consumer of that being when it hunts down the being for food. This process will repeat through every tier of the food pyramid until it reaches to the top.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>One of the older things that we’ve been reviewing is how to write a lab report and how to conduct a lab. As our first project, we were expected to find a question intriguing to us, then to utilize the scientific inquiry in order to obtain information. We were then expected to utilize the information that has been researched, and to conduct an experiment in which we will record data and to write down anything that we’ve observed. We were then to take that information and to write it out as a lab report.</div>]]></description>

We were informed that torwards the beginning of spring, we would be repeating a process similar to that that we have done at the beginning of the academic year for our first lab. We were also explained to that if our experiment is too complicated, that we wold be paired up with an experimented mentor to guide us.</div>]]></description>
