The Earth like the sun is a many layered thing with the center of it the inner core and surrounding it is the molten outer core. The inner core is solid and made mostly of iron and nickel. The reason it is these elements is because when the Earth was first forming these heavier elements sank the the middle while the lighter ones floated to the surface. The inner core is ten percent of the earths radius. The outer core is also iron and nickel but it is molten and liquid. The core is about 5,500 degrees Celsius and the pressure is immensely strong down inside the core. outside the core is the mantle which is about 2,900 kilometers thick. on top of the mantle is the crust which is the smallest layer of the earth which is solid rock. there are two times of crust oceanic and continental crust. the movement of the crust depends on the movement of the mantle which is dependent on heat. The crust is plates not on solid surface.

The atmosphere consists of gases which because they are not solid and it fades away with distance. The line between the Earth and the atmosphere and space is about 100 kilometers up. This line is called the Karman line if you get above it, you are in space. The atmosphere is roughly 78% nitrogen, 21% oxygen, 1% argon, and an assortment of trace gases. We have a 25 kilometer thick on average of ozone, a molecule of oxygen great at absorbing radioactive sunlight rays. The light hitting the ozone layer doesn't just absorb them it channels these particles. these particles smash into air molecules causing an Aurora Borealis. Carbon dioxide rests in the atmosphere and heats the earth the more of Co2 that enters the air.

There is water vapor too which is about 8-15 kilometers this part of the atmosphere is the hottest part of the atmosphere at the bottom. This consists of bundles of water vapor, or clouds. These clouds are what give us weather. The earth is covered with water which rests on oceanic plates this water is lower than continental plates which causes it to flow into it.

However us as humans have created the industrial revolution in the past years increasing the carbon dioxide in the air which in turn makes Earth heat up and destroys the ozone which if we destroy it completely Earth will be unhabitable.
