In seemingly impossible situations, the people of God fasted and prayed, not so much to twist the arm of God, but to be in the right posture of humility and total dependence before a God who can deliver and to gain a heart of wisdom and courage to respond in a crisis. May we adopt such a posture and be sensitive as to how God wants us to be a beacon of light for such a time as this.

PRAY WITH THE AUTHORITY OF CHRIST

I had a dream that I was being chased around by this creature and his name was devil. He looked very different from what I would imagine a demon would look like : it was very short, fat, ugly and not in the least bit intimidating in its appearance but I wanted to get rid of him nevertheless because I knew he was one of my enemies.

I started to cast is out and I was praying. I could hear myself and all the words were coming out of my mouth, long prayers but somehow I was surprised that nothing was happening, as if my prayers were not effective at all.

He looked at me and he said, " I know who you are, you are from the house of prayer." I was stunned, this creature even knows about my identity and what I do but he was not at all intimidated by me. I couldn't cast it out, he wasn't fearful at all of me.

Then I turned and there was someone beside me. He managed to get rid of the creature with ease and without any form of striving and labouring. I begin to judge in my heart how can he do it so easily when he is such an ordinary person? 

 I don't know this person but from what I know about him, he definitely was not one that I could consider as a 'prayer warrior' or a 'seasoned intercessor'. Of course I kept that thought to myself. 

Very humbly he explained to me, there is a badge that you have to put on. When you put on that badge (of an authority figure : like a policeman), the creature will be afraid of you and all you have to do is just command him and he will go. It was that simple. The badge was shinny and it was gold. 

I believe that the Lord is moving us from a place of praying words to praying with authority and praying in authority. When we stand face to face with the enemy, the enemy must know, not who we are but who we are because of the Christ that is living inside of us. 

It is time to reallign our prayers not just in words but we must recognise who we are and the authority that has been given to us through the finished work of the cross. Prayers that lead to God’s Will are HIS delights
Wait, be still, yet continue to pray, would you obey?

Prayers interceding for the voiceless and loss….
God hears our prayers, convicts the hearts of man
Man can plan to what end? Outcome may not be man’s plan
Turn of event, with good outcome just like Joseph in God’s plan

God’s plan and timing are mysteries to us
Believe, trust, in God’s time, HIS plan shall prevail
God in HIS sovereignty, has plan and action cannot be proven
But we know our GOD, LORD JESUS CHRIST will never leave us nor forsake us.
