It is a very trustworthy source that explains many different points and concerns that the reader may have had before reading this article. It's informational, uses lots of evidence from other .gov and .org websites, and overall, just proves a good point that GMOs are an issue, especially with corn production.

The motivation was a 2 because it was clear and he did sound like he knew what he was talking about when he brought up companies and how they used GMOs for fish. The reliability was a 1 because although some claims were spoken about the company, their research, and cited. It wasn't as comprehensive.

Authority was a ranked a 1 because the sources weren’t as reliable since it was only 1 that was well recognized and is not considered an expert analysis, for motivation a 2 because the topic was clear and concise and stayed informative about the topic at hand, and finally reliability was a 1 because there are much better sources that could’ve been used.

For authority a rank of 1 was given simply because this creator is a farmer, so he does have some knowledge on crops. On the other hand, the creator is not an expert. For motivation a rank of 2 was given because the content did seem informational and easy to comprehend. All the information given may not be true but was persuasive to the audience. Lastly under the reliability categorey a rank of zero was given. There weren't any cited credible sources given to prove this information

For the evaluation of authority, our group decided to rank this source a 1 since the information is given by a Registered Dietitian, but also says in the caption that the post is a 'Paid Partnership', which shows that the source may be told what to say by the company that is paying her to make the video. For motivation, we evaluate this source as a 2 since she begins the video explaining to her audience if GMO's are safe or not for themselves and/or children. For reliability, we think this source is a 0 since there are no cited primary sources and other sources are more comprehensible.

In the reliability category, we ranked them a 1 because they have articles displayed in the background but don’t provide enough information about them as a company who would specialize in analyzing these things.

The only credibility that this account has is that it is linked to a non-profit organization where the author is a certified holistic nutritionist. To break down our ranking we gave the post an authority rating of 1 due to the author's occupation. A 2 for motivation as the author is likely just trying to provide his audience with a way to avoid GMO foods. However, we gave reliability a score of 0 as there are conflicting sources that state as of recently GE foods must be labeled in the United States.

Total score = 3. Dr. Daniel, the author of this post, has many relevant credentials ranging from various university degrees to many certifications in nutrition, however there is no record of where these certifications came from. Also, his doctorate is in chiropractic not nutrition, so we question his authority on functional medicine. For these reasons we scored him a 1 for authority. One trip to Dr. Daniel's website further invalidated his claims as we realized a large part of his platform is dedicated to selling supplements and tele-health consultations. This led us to question the potential biases on his page however this specific post was relatively straight to the point and didn't work to promote his brand. That being said we rated him a 1 for Motivation. Finally, this specific post utilizes several graphs and charts but only cites primary sources for one of them. Also there are no descriptions included to help the audience understand the information being shared. For this reason we scored Dr. Daniel a 1 for reliability.

For authority we would rate it a 1 as the author was an activist with seemingly no other credentials. For motivation we would rate it a 0 as the author has a clear intent and does not include any opposing information or viewpoints. The reliability is also pretty low with a score of 0 as although the caption does go into a fairly lengthy explanation it fails to cite any sources at all. In conclusion we would give this post a score of 1 as it lacks severely in certain areas and could be much improved.

For authority, we would rate the post a 1, as the author includes the title "Dr." which suggests some level of expertise, but it is unclear whether the individual has relevant credentials in genetics or food science. For motivation, we would rate it a 1 as well, as the content seems to present information, though it is difficult to determine if it remains fully neutral or if there’s an underlying agenda. The reliability would be rated a 0, as the video does not cite any primary sources or studies to support the claims made. Overall, we would give this post a score of 2, as it falls short in terms of providing authoritative, well-sourced, and balanced information, and could benefit from more detailed references and a clearer presentation of opposing viewpoints.

Our overall score for this social media post is 0! This post originates from a not well-known or verified social media account, with a spokesperson who's well-dressed, claiming to be a doctor. There is no confirmation that this person is truly a verified doctor, so without any proper credentials, we give the authority ranking a 0.

For motivation, this page appears to be promoting an agenda of supposed "Health secrets" that, assuming from the page name, want to tell you secret methods to get healthier. The "doctor" in the video says GMOs are pesticides that are intended to kill animals, and Humans are inherently animals, so they must not be good for us either. This statement does not seem factual at all and would not make sense if it were true! This gives motivation a 0 too.

Finally for Reliability, there are ZERO sources shown, linked, or even mentioned during the short-span of this post. Without any sources to back these claims, they do not sound trustworthy at all. To make matters worse, the claims are not expanded on in depth either, so they really are just throwing things to the wall to see what sticks. Reliability is definitely a 0, giving a whopping 0 as the overall score.

The social media post we chose is a score of 3. We scored the post as a one on the authority scale because the account is verified, and the people running the account consistently post about GMO foods, what foods are bad for us to consume, and why. We scored the post as a one on the motivation scale because it is unclear where the post's intention comes from. While no clear agenda is being pushed, there is no proper balance of reliable information. Lastly, we scored the post as one on the reliability scale. The post cited "Environmental Sciences Europe" for one claim but did not cite a specific article or research.

Overall, we did not find this post trustworthy, and many of the bold claims would need to be looked into further through personal research.

The evaluation that the group decided to give this video was a 0 across all categories. The speaker was a regular grocery shopper who compared the different natural fruits to the GMO fruits, she only explained the size different and to not buy GMO products. She never explained why to stop buying them. She didn't state any information on why it's bad, only showed the visuals. Perhaps, some people prefer on getting GMO fruits because of it's size, other shoppers may like the size of it. There was no reliability that the tiktoker provided, she only made a claim but didn't state her reasonings.

Authority: 0

She is a Tik Tok influencer who has no relevance in the farming and chemical field. She states "if you ask someone from the 1970s" or "farmers would say" instead of siting real people or actual professionals.

Motivation: 0

She opens with "why do farmers grow GMOs" yet only states the benefits that GMOs gain from corn. She says that farmers use GMOs purely to reduce pesticide use yet do not show the reduction in pesticide use across all plants. She is using this bias to promote her TikTok account "thefarmbabe" and because she is located at an Iowa corn field (how convenient). Her claim appears very bias, and claims farmers do not use insecticides at all.

Reliability: 0

She shows a Chart of the BT trait in corn but provides no information backing the reduction of insecticide use. She is contradictory saying farmers no longer have to spray insecticides but, that they "were using a much stronger higher harsher dose", implying that they are still used.
