I am delighted to announce that Ryanair and Leading Edge Aviation will be visting the University of Bedfordshire on Monday 4th March 2024, from 11am to 2pm.

Ryanair will be showcasing their graduate schemes, internships, placement years and other job vacancies. They have opportunities all over Europe. Leading Edge Aviation will be showcasing pathways into becoming a commercial pilot.

Small groups of students from each university will design and implement impactful projects addressing sustainability challenges relating to their university and local community.

The Project:

Title - Wellbeing, Cultural diversity and Educational Transitions: developing a resource pack for International Students

Description - This will involve students developing a resource pack, including a video, to support future (international) students settle into their student life in the UK. It will seek to surface key challenges and the approaches that students have adopted to overcome some of the cultural and education barriers that they have encountered.

Project Staff Member – Vicky Morris

Project Team – 4 to 6 UOB students and Staff member

Project dates – Now until June

Conference – 27th or 28th June – Birmingham (fully funded)

Time Commitment – 2-4 hours per week – flexible to work around your commitments and studies

Benefits to students

•       Develop a range of transferable professional and academic skills, such as project planning, sustainability, team-work, communication, monitoring and evaluation

•       All students will earn a certificate and digital badge

•       Present at the end-of-project SHAPE conference

•       Gain a Bedfordshire Career Development Award (Beds CDA).

The IWM Duxford is a preserved airfield and buildings - many unchanged since the Second World War.

Inside every hangar and exhibition, you’ll discover iconic aircraft including Concorde, see historic objects, and learn how the restoration work is completed.

Aviation students will experience a variety of aircraft and aviation exhibits, whilst tourism students can explore a fantastic demonstration of heritage management.

We offer paid 6–12 month internships and placements in the United States and New Zealand in:
