i feel that the decorating of the toilets and the banners, hanging up posters and decorating the toilets with plants, shelves, and mini stickers went well. I also really loved the end result of the toilet. I felt proud when me and my friends finished the toilet, as it looked very beautiful and pretty.

We could've cooperated better and have a better planning on where to paste the posters, stickers and banners. We could also have been quieter and less rowdy.

I learnt that we have to be a team to work together and have a strong plan to make the toilets cleaner and nicer. At first, i thought that cleaning the toilets was going to be smelly and disgusting, but it was actually pretty fun working togther with my teamates! I also learnt that a team is better than just one person working on the toilet, and it also makes decorating the toilets much easier and faster.

1.the toilet auntie was very happy when she saw the final result as she had a comfortable chair, a better environment and the toilets also smelled better

2.taking lesser time to complete the toilets and to be more quiet when we were renovating the toilets.

3.to work well with others and figure out solutions to fix the furniture when we had difficulties to figure out how to screw the bolts in.

I observed the girls working well together to clean up the boys' toilet even though the aunty did most of the work. We were surprised and disappointed at the same time that we had to clean the boys' toilet and that we could not assemble or unbox the items. But, I think that taught us to accept, face whatever challenges we get and work together as a team.

When we started assembling, we made a few mistakes. But, we worked our way around the problem, and the toilets ended up looking just as good as we had pictured it. I think the key take aways were that we ended up working together really well and worked around our problems.

What went well:

I think what went well was the floor plan for the boys toilet made by Marvin and I. For one of the toilets, our school cleaner was cleaning the boys toilets so we could not see the layout of the toilet. Despite our disadvantage, we still worked our best using our memory and we checked if the plan was accurate a few days later. (It was)

What could have been better:

It would have been easier for the prefects who were making the shelves if they listened to each others ideas to make the as there was no manual given. (We were still able to make it.)

Key takeaways:

I learnt why collaborate with my friends more and learnt that we can agree on an idea even if we are not sure if it is correct. I also learnt why 'Trial and Error' is important.

Reflections

Q1: What went well? 

We worked together to finish the design and decoration of toilets on time. We found solutions to the problems we found while designing it such as placing the miniature mirrors. We showed values such as resilience, excellence and teamwork. 

Q2: What can be better? 

We could have thought about the problems we might have when decorating and designing the toilets beforehand so that we are prepared to solve them faster.

Q3: What are the key takeaways? 

Overall I have learnt more about the power of teamwork. We found solutions to problems quickly. We learnt that communication is crucial for projects and after all, we want to appreciate the cleaners and make sure they have a comfortable toilet where they can rest. 

My Reflections 

What went well:  

I think that our cooperation was good and that we could decorate and put the poster correctly (except for one of them in the girls' toilet). We also figured out how to manage when there was too much fake plants for decoration  

What can be better: 

We could have been quieter  

Key take aways: 

I found the designs very creative and I liked how everyone worked together and not just relax after their task was completed and some of us even help to do things that were not necessary like clearing the clay and recycling the plastic containers that were used to store the clay. I think everyone could have worked a little faster as we did not manage to finish everything by 3.30pm. I learnt how to make things I have never made before like the making the shelf and chairs and hanging the clock.

We were cooperative and helped each other to complete the project as fast as we can and the decorations are nice

The way we conducted the designing was a bit messy.

Reason: A few people did not know where to paste the stickers.

I learnt that teamwork makes the dream work.

.What went well during that toilet project like setting up the items and pasting the items was when the finishing and the sense of satisfaction at the end when everything looks nice and neat,for example my group made the cleaner’s appreciation board and I was kind of happy and proud of what my group did when I saw the outcome of the cleaner’s appreciation board and how nice it actually looks like and how much effort we put in as a group turned into an accomplishment so that is what went well to me

.What can be better during the toilet project was when we made the banners and we were tying knots to make the banner secure with the hook because my group was kind of messed up like taking which banner 

.Key takeaways during the toilet projects were to be more clear on what each group needs and when you do well and put in effort to contribute your effort pays off.

What went well?

I learned how to wash the toilets, could work together more, and successfully decorated the toilets. Now the boys toilets don’t smell so bad anymore after putting in some air fresheners.

What can be better?

Collaboration.

It was very fun to work together with everyone and make the cleaner aunties job a bit easier.

I observed everyone (including me) cleaning the toilet together, although the aunty did most of the work . To me , the most important thing was that we worked together despite having to go clean the girls and the boys toilet .

The key takeaway was that despite having to clean the boys toilet, we accepted our fate and decided to face the challenge by working together . Therefore, teamwork makes the dream work.

Dhiya- P5Collaboration 

What went well: 

Everyone was working together and cooperating well in groups instead of insisting on doing the work alone. Some moments were tougher than others. But instead of panicking, we came up with a solution. Like when someone placed the appreciation board in the wrong place. Instead of waiting there helplessly, they called a teacher and came up with a solution. I was not building the furniture, but I observed that everyone was working together helping to support and install the furniture. Me and Mei Qing also had a lot of fun putting up the posters in the boy's toilet.  

What we could improve: 

Mei Qing and I had to constantly move from the toilet to the art room or wherever Ms. Piriya was as we needed to check with a teacher if the placement was alright. I think it would have moved faster if there were more people working on the boy's toilet from the start. 

Key takeaways: 

The fact that we managed to collaborate well and certain people even learned a life skill, assembling furniture, was great. I’m not sure if an opportunity like this will ever happen. I really learnt how working with more people helped. 

What we all  did very well was using our creativity in making posters, banners, the appreciation board and many more to make this project a success. All of us worked very hard and no one gave up even when things went wrong What I think we did well in the STAR awards project is how all of us showed our creativity in designing the posters, the banners, the appreciation board for our hard working cleaner aunties and uncles, and many more. We all showed resilience, excellence and many more values along the way.

What could be better

Something that could be better was our time management as we used a bit too much time in doing one thing instead we can use good amount of time in all the decorations.

Takeaways

From this project I can takeaway many things such as not giving up when we did something wrong and instead try to find a solution for it.

What went well?

I was very pleased with how the results look and was very happy that the janitors liked it.

We worked together as a team like measuring the banners and posters, building shelves, chairs and decorated the toilet with more stickers and plants. We even added air fresheners to make the toilet smell better.

What could be better?

Our time management. I feel that we were on a time crunch and had to rush a lot, Dhiya and I were rushing to be on time as we kept asking for help and checking of our measurements.

Key takeaway:

I learned to work better as a team.

             REFLECTION: STAR AWARDS 

Q1. What went well? 

Ans: working together with my teammates and designing the toilet. Everyone was very corporative and did what they were assigned to do without complaining. Although it was tiring, no one rested and even offered help when they were done with their task to finish the project faster. 

When I started working on the project, I felt very anxious. However, as time passed, I grew more confident in saying things during the presentation. When the theme was chosen, it was “Harry Potter”. We started working on poster ideas while others made stickers. After we completed the decoration and cleaning, I felt very proud.

1 thing I feel I did well was the set up of the furniture, we set up the bench for the cleaning auntie while some put up banners and plant decorations. 

Another thing I feel I did well was teamwork while making the decorations. 

1 thing I think I can do better was making measurements when setting up the furniture.

Key takeaways: After this experience, I feel as if I have gained more collaboration skills with prefects. We worked together to set up the furniture while setting up the stickers and clocks.

Overall, I feel like I worked better as a team than alone
