He was a quiet, gentle, friendly, and mature individual who seemed to have a sense of life and purpose beyond his years. His deep connection to God, Judaism, and spirituality stood out and gave us all something to aspire to. I only met Yonim a few times, the last being seven years ago, but I remember him vividly and he made an impression that I will carry with me forever. I'm sure that since we last met he had grown into a remarkable adult and acted as a role model for his entire community. His loss is felt by all he touched, even those of us who knew him briefly. May you be comforted among the mourners of Zion and Jerusalem and know that we are thinking of you in this dark time.
