  • Beware of scammers, many like to target tourists especially younger ones
  • Have a good map when traveling in Bangkok
  • When shopping in Bangkok, if an item has no set price, do negotiate with the seller on the price, if the negotiated price is unacceptable, walk away. Hence, you should definitely bring out your good negotiation skills when going on a trip to Bangkok.
  • Be alert when a stranger approaches you, at times, these strangers may seem polite but they are kidnappers.
  • When taking a taxi, make sure the driver turns his meter on, this is because many drivers tend to cheat the passenger by making them pay extra. If the driver is unwilling to cooperate, leave and find another one.
  • Make sure to have cash with you as the Thai market is mostly cash-based
