Due to that she slips into a wifely role. Therefore her husband has the authority in the relationship , and then he abuses that trust that she had for him. When she finds out that he was cheating her no way to get revenge or a way to outlet her anger towards him so she aborts her baby. The reason behind this is because she sees this as a way that he will always be with her thru the baby due to the biological relationship. When she moves to America she gets out of her comfort zone and does whats right for her own self. Thats when she meets Clifford and she sees that as a way of having a better life here.
