I would think the median salary for males tends to be larger ($108043) than the median salary for females ($103750). 

This is a random sample selected by 397 people. I have taken a sample of 39 females salary’s, and 358 males salary’s, using the simple random selecting method.  

The Median salary for males $108043, where as the median salary for females is $103750. 

The shape of the sample distribution for females salary appears to be skewed to the left, wheres as the sample distribution for males is symmetrical. 

Female spread- (UQ-LQ) 117002- 77250= 39752
Male spread- (UQ-LQ) 134864- 92000= 42864.

Data Analysis: 

The male median Salary of my sample is larger ($108043) than the female median salary of my sample ($103750) by $4293 

The shape of the sample distribution for male salaries is right skewed 

The shape of the sample distribution for female salary appears to be symmetrical 

There seems to be a higher concentration between $100000 and $108000 for male salaries 

The spread (IQR) of the salary for males in my sample is 134864-92000=$42864 whilst the spread (IQR) of the salary for females is 117002-77250=$39752 

The male middle 50% is slightly larger than the female middle 50%

Hence the large difference margin, males have a higher LQ, Median, UQ and Maximum, but females have a higher Minimum.

The spread (IQ Range) for females is $39,792 and males is $42,864. Both sums are similar meaning that there is a small variety, but this cannot be concluded as the sample sizes between both genders are very uneven. But overall, judging from the data on the graph, males tend to have a higher salary.

The upper quartile of this random sample for males is 118254 and the lower quartile is 111927. The upper quartile for the female is 109415 and the  lower quartile for the female is 92590

the spread for male salary is 118254-111927=$6,327

the spread for the female salary is 109415-92590=$16,825

I will investigate the difference in salaries between male and females in ($ Dollars). I believe that the Males will have a higher income/salary than those of females 
 
The median salaries for males is $108,043, which is larger than that of the females which is $103,750. The male’s median salary is larger than the female’s median salary by $4653 
 
The shape of the sample distribution for the females appears to be skewed to the right 
 
The shape of the sample distribution for the males appears to be skewed to the right also, more so than that of the females because there is a higher concentration between the salary’s $105,000 to $115,000 in the males. 
 
The spread of salaries for both female’s & male’s is more or less similar because: 
 
Spread (interquartile range) for females = $117,002 – $77,250 = $39,752 
 
Spread (interquartile range) for males = $134,864 – $92,500 = $42,364 
 
This means that Varity of salaries between genders are similar.
