The pie chart represents Electricity Generation from different sources in Germany in 1980 and 2010.

To begin with, in 1980, the highest proportion of coal was used to generate electricity although the lowest was from hydro. There was a similarity, the proportion of Natural gas and Coal was equal (28 units). Surprisingly, there was four-time difference between Hydro (7 units) and Natural gas (28 units). Turning to 2010, most of proportion used to generate electricity was Nuclear (155 units). Even provided we that combined coal, petroleum, hydro and natural gas units used to produce the electricity they were still three – times less than nuclear as a source of energy. A similar amount of units from hydro and natural gas – 2 units were used to generate electricity the year.

To compare the two pie charts, in Germany nuclear was not preferred to used to generate electricity in 1980 but in 2010, nuclear was consumed the most to generate electricity. In conclusion, from 1980 to 2010, the nuclear as resources of energy diminished. It’s striking to note that total energy units elevated.
