Your face should reflect what is happening in the story, if there is a funny part, you should smile or even laugh to add more character to the story and help others understand it and enjoy it. A useful tip is to try to make the emotion 'come from the inside'. This is meant to make it seem more real, and less like you are exaggerating it for the story. To do so, you should really try to engage in the emotion you're trying to show, so if you are happy, don't just throw on a fake smile, think about how you act when you're happy.
