         <title>Roman Arches</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>1.&nbsp; Roman Arches allowed Romans to make better buildings and aqueducts because they're strength helped hold up the building.<br>2. Roman Arches were made from different substances. They were made up of Stone, Brick, Concrete and mostly Steel. They were sturdy enough because the top of the Arch was made from a type of stone called Keystone.<br>3.&nbsp; Roman Arches were invented as early as the 2nd millennium BC in Mesopotamian brick architecture.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>1.&nbsp; Domes are rounded vaults at the top of buildings which are used for government buildings such as the U.S. Capitol in Washington, and they can also be used for religious reasons. In Jerusalem, Israel there is a dome named The Dome Of Rock.<br>2.&nbsp; A Dome's purpose is basically representing a heavenly and Divine religion for the Islams.&nbsp;<br>3.  In Arabia, most domes are called Qubba. The feature that includes Domes or Qubbas, are Mosque which is a religious buildings for the Arabic's.<br><br></div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>1. An upright pillar that is cylindrical made of stone or concrete. which is used to hold a building or concrete.<br>2.&nbsp; There are three types of columns. The three columns are Doric,&nbsp; Ionic and Corinthian. The white house has Ionic columns to hold the mansion up.<br>3.&nbsp; A Columns purpose of existing is to create some extra support with the architecture or the building of some sort. Columns don't really need to be used because buildings are already built sturdy enough .</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>1. Aqueducts are channels made by humans which are used for carrying water from distant mountain ranges into different countries and Rome.<br>2. Aqueducts were built with three main items. The items were Stone, Bricks and special volcanic cement.&nbsp;<br>3. The main purpose for an aqueduct was to deliver water from different parts of the world for the Romans to shower, drink and people would fill their fountains.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>1.&nbsp; Roman roads were used for train tracks and cars to use to drive by and deliver items.<br>2. The three main types of bridges used are The Arch bridge, The Bascule bridge and The Cantilever bridge.&nbsp; Those three bridges are now used in the United States.<br>3.  The Pons fabricuis is the oldest Roman Bridge which is still existing in Italy, France. The meaning of the bridge is Fabricuis Bridge in Italian.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>1. Written laws were a big part in the roman culture because of the legal developments spanning over a thousand years of jurisprudence from the twelve tables. You were also proven innocent until guilty.<br>2. Citizens in Rome were able to vote for their leader. In certain groups the men were the ones to vote for their leaders that was just a part of their government.<br>3.  The three branches of government that the Romans followed was the Senate, Assembly and the Chief Executive.</div>]]></description>

The three branches of government get to decide whether or not someone is guilty or innocent.<br>2. The United States also has three branches of government. Legislative, Executive and Judicial, the laws are similar to the Romans laws.<br>3. No Plebians were allowed to have a say in choosing their leaders.<br>2.  The Romans began choosing their leaders when the Etruscan Conquerors were overthrown since then they've chosen their leaders.<br>3.  The United States is republic  like the Romans were and that means that we are able to vote for our leaders except that men were only allowed to vote in Rome but here, we get to vote but only if were 18 or older.</div>]]></description>
