Galiileo used his telescope to discover the texture of the moon, moons on Jupiter, and confirmed the Heliocentric theory. Unlike Nicolas he published his book while he was still alive. The Catholic Church gave him a warning but he still published it. Then he was accused by the church and they brought in the Pope because of how highly they thought the offence was.
