Mirror - they used a mirror in this film to communicate with the supernatural being. The woman asks the supernatural being a question and it replies through the mirror and writes MEF on the computer, this only happens when she goes downstairs. 

Setting - this film is set on an old wooden house in America which is haunted by this supernatural being.

The mirror and computer used makes the audience think that this supernatural being isn't just in the house but is actually part of the house as its reacting to things that have been placed in the house. 

The setting of this film makes the audience feel uncomfortable as its in a secluded area such as this wooden house, makes them think how would they feel if they were stuck in this house with a supernatural being living within the house walls. 

The use of camera movement in this film makes the audience feel uneasy and worried about the woman shown.
