I did notice the gorilla whilst counting the passes. However, when the video replayed I did not notice the full actions of what he did to start with. As a practitioner one to one activities are good, however it is key to be alert and aware of your surroundings as key/vital events can easily be missed.

I didn't notice the gorilla at all but I counted the correct number of passes. It reminds me that when observing one child or a small group it is important to be aware of the surrounding environment and other influences. It is similar to being in a setting where a practitioner is observing one child, but another child is also doing something amazing that could be potentially missed if the practitioner is completely absorbed on one observation.

I know noticed the gorilla and managed to count the passes but miss counted by 1. Sometimes you can be distracted by what is going on around you and you can miss important parts of a childs development. One to one can be good for some observations depending on what you are observing doesn't always work for every area of development.
