If you have the opportunity to learn these, why not do so. I know once I understood what these terms were it made understanding my insurance policy much simpler

This video clearly explains both bodily injury and property damage liability coverage, uninsured motorist coverage, direct compensation property damage (DCPD) and standard accident benefits. These are all mandatory coverages. 

Collision, comprehensive, accident forgiveness, loss of use/rental vehicle coverage, waiver of depreciation and liability to non-owned automobiles are all optional coverages that can be purchased on top of the required coverages

Many insurance companies have come out with a personalized discount. A lot of people refer to it as the safe driving discount, however different companies call it different things.

After having completed this assignment, I feel like I learned more about the different car insurance companies and what they have to offer to the public. Working in the industry, I know a lot about car insurance, specifically my company, but after researching each company and its guidelines and coverages, I can confidently advise my clients whether my company can provide them with the best coverage for their unique situation.

2. Provide a real-life example of how this topic is relevant or interesting
for you.
For me I found this topic to be quite relevant because if you have a license and own a car this is something that is legally required. Even with it being required by law, not a lot of people truly understand what car insurance is for or how to understand the coverages and premiums.

3. If you could pass on your knowledge to a family member or friend, what
do you think is the most important thing to pass on?
If I could pass on my knowledge to a family member or a friend, I would make sure they understand how rates work and why they are what they are. Working in the insurance industry I hear hundreds of clients complain about their premium and why its increased or why it is so expensive.
