This is what I ended up with for my word wall. Padlet called it sumptuous, not me, just to make that clear. In reflection, I've actually learned a lot in this class. I've learned a lot about  the NCLB act, which I really didn't understand at all  before this class. I've also learned a lot about the importance of understanding, valuing and inviting ELL culture into the classroom as part of truly integrating an ELL student into our educational system. I think my favorite part of the course was writing the paper, which, even though I'm not a huge fan of researching scholarly articles, really made me look at the issues of ELL growth and assessment in a new way. I think the part that confused me most was the Item Analysis, which, while I know it is useful, I believe there's got to be a better way to go about it. I had my students conduct and Item analysis on themselves after a test, and they all reported the desire to rise up and kill me. Now I know why. Overall though, I did benefit from the course, and definitely enjoyed all the panicked late-night emails.
