The Italian peninsula was a great resource for the people of Rome. This helped people in Rome because it was surrounded by 3 sides of bodies of water. This was letting the people of Rome have good access to water and letting them get the water and supplies they need to live off of. This was not just a good spot for the Roman people to get there water, it was also letting them get to other places because of the water. They were able to go and sail to another body of water that they could get their resources from. This helped the ancient people of Rome to go and give other goods to other places. This impacted the government beca5use they could focus on other specific places for their needs.

The Tiber River

Rome had many different rivers. But the Tiber river made the biggest impact on the people of Rome. The Tiber river gave them access to a food sources for their people. This is because they can go out in a boat and get the food that they need to provide for their families. The rivers plains had created very rich soil for their people to work with. They also had rock mining that provided some things for Rome. They also had enough water to sustain the entire part of Rome. The Tiber river allowed the government to know that they had enough water to sustain the entire part of Rome. This means that they could find other things that they need to work on for their country. Because they have enough water to sustain the whole part of Rome. This river also had helped them because it made underground streams that helped them with their sewer system.

Hills and Mountains!

The hills and mountains did many things for the people. These hills and mountains helped out when there was invasions. This is because if they attack on one side of the mountain then the other side could get ready and make something to hold the offenders off longer so they would not come in. Rome is built off of many different mountains and hills. Back then mountains and hills were a lot steeper, but now they have all smoothed and melded into one another. This connects to the government, this is because now that the government knows that they have various ways of protection, they can now start worrying about other things that they need to do to help their people. The government now would be able to go back later and fix this if they thought that they needed to. Now that protection is already taken care of, there is no need to worry about protection, because protection is already clearly shown. This means that the government is now able to take care of other task.

The Mediterranean sea has helped the Roman group because it was letting them have another body of water so that they could use to transport their goods and get the food they need. The Mediterranean sea was very helpful to the Roman people, It did not just help them trade their foods, and get the food that they needed, this helped them by having transportation to go to other places to do their farming and other stuff that they needed to do. This gives the people of Rome a lot of uses of the sea. This also helps the government out because they know that they are now able to get the transportation and the food resources they need to live and survive off of. They now can worry about other stuff that would be helpful for the other Roman groups.
