2. I am proud of how far African Americans have come because I can not believe a time where MLK was not seen as a hero like he is seen now, but was seen as a “menace to society” (like the video said). It took a lot of work from the whole African American community to progress and to be seen as more than criminals to white Americans.

3. I remember learning about the George Zimmerman case in I think a social studies class, and it shocks me how the “self defense/stand your ground” rule in Texas was not thought out very well, though someone could very easily kill a random person and call it self defense, especially when it’s a white person against a black person. The court is likely to believe a white person than the family of the black person they shot.
