My choice menu for a novel unit summative. My students have not completed this work yet. It will be done for our next unit that happens after the break. I am excited to see how they feel about it. I have done similar menus in the past and they are usually a hit. Students really love making a playlist or soundtrack. They love their music and being able to use that to make connections can be really powerful.

I think the number one thing I learned is that differentiation is a huge spectrum. It can be well thought out unit plans and lessons that you have curated over months and years of your practice and it can be a split second decision or moment of inspiration about what could inspire or help a student. Both and everything in between are valuable and should be implemented.

I do not think that I have a top three. I am going to implement the process that Carol Ann Tomlinson outlines in one of the videos that we watched where she discussed making one highly developed differentiated lesson per grading period each year and before you know it you will have a large portfolio of assignments that work for you and your students. I will do this while also implementing the strategies that I identified in this assignment that can be added in on a day to day basis.
