YES! Never in a million years did I ever imagine becoming an educator. Never in a million years did I ever imagine falling in love with teaching. In the summer of 2016, I accepted an English teaching position at Sierra Linda High School and absolutely fell in love with it. I was in the process of trying to obtain an emergency teaching certification in the state of Arizona. However, due to health issues, I transitioned as an instructional assistant. I enjoy being an assistant, but deciding to leave teaching was the worst professional devision of my life... even if it was at the advice of my doctors. So now, I am studying to earn my certification in hopes that I get a chance to teach my original students one more time before they graduate.

Since my time as an undergraduate at Arizona State University, I have enjoyed assisting and mentoring high school students. Being able to pay it forward and even coach high school softball has been the most enriching experiences of my life. And then I applied to be a teacher.
