         <description><![CDATA[<div>Natural habitat- They originated from South America, Central America, and Southern Texas (near Rio Grande Valley)<br><br>The Cane toad, in order to survive, needs to have moisture constantly available. Some of the predators of the Cane toad consist of Wolf spiders, estuarine crocodiles, and keelback snakes. The CAne toads are omnivores, so their diet includes plants and animals. Their prey consists of native species, for example, small birds, other frogs and toads and small birds. Some Cane toads may even eat cats and dogs, if they have a big enough jaw for it. The biggest competitor of the Cane toads are other frogs or toads. Cane toads are more accustomed to extremely warm and damp climates, so an area with a colder temperature serves as a limiting factor.&nbsp;</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div><br>The species of cane toads have been continuing to spread and invade throughout the central and southern parts of Florida.<br><br>This species was introduced to Florida to control the sugar can pests, but some were accidentally, and intentionally released into the wild by animal importers, laboratories, and zoos.&nbsp;<br><br>The Cane toad impacts the environment by competing and preying on the native species causing a decrease in regular toads or other prey, even if something touches a toad their poison takes effect. They have also have proven to be very toxic to their predators and human pets. These toads can also transmit diseases to humans like, salmonella.&nbsp;</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>To control the invasive species we could<br><br></div><ol><li>protect the Cane toads predators so there will be more of them to hunt the toads</li></ol><div>Pros</div><ul><li>There will be more predators to eat the toads</li></ul><div>Cons</div><ul><li>The increase in certain predators may be dangerous to humans</li></ul><div>&nbsp; &nbsp;2. construct barriers around areas the Cane toads may live so they can’t spread out or take in more</div><div>Pros</div><ul><li>The toads wouldn’t be able to spread to new locations and reproduce, and they may die off more quickly because they can’t spread to new areas.&nbsp;</li></ul><div>Cons</div><ul><li>The barriers may also contain other organisms that need to branch out and reproduce that are also beneficial to the ecosystem but wouldn’t be able to do that&nbsp;</li></ul><div>&nbsp; &nbsp;3.          <title>Solution for controlling the invasive species</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Our solution for controlling the invasive species is to allow people to kill them whenever they come into contact with one or &nbsp;if they see one in their general area. We chose this solution because it has no negative effects on the ecosystem. Individuals are able to get rid of the Cane toads, which will decrease the population without having to make any changes to the ecosystem. We will put our solution into action by informing people in the areas where the Cane toads live, through social media platforms, that they are able to kill any Cane toads that they come into contact with or are in their general area.&nbsp; We will need cooperation from others to kill the Cane toads but that shouldn’t be a problem because they are an infestation in the area they inhabit. We will measure the success of the solution by recording the Cane toads population size now and after people are allowed to kill the toads, to see if their has been any decrease in the Cane toads numbers.&nbsp;</div>]]></description>
