Any educator can aim for an integrated approach in their classroom. It does not have to be a whole school approach, it simply needs to reflect the educational needs of the students and strive to encompass the main ideals of the integrated approach. These ideals are; choose a central theme, link some all subject areas to the base theme, and design learning experiences that allow for student autonomy, preferably where multiple skills are required (Collins, 2010).
