Some people agree with that but others think that they should stand out of respect for their country,their military. I stand on the side of protest. People need to know the truth about what is happening. The president (Trump) doesn't know how we feel and how the misunderstanded people feel and think about this .Thier police mistreats them when they have done nothing wrong.This is WRONG!!!! This needs to change. If it doesn't it will continue to be a problem for everyone,even us!We don't need any more trouble. I hope they think about and solve this problem.

Other people say that people can do what they want because they are free to do what they want. It does not matter what colour they are or what religion they follow. President Trump says that people should not take a knee and wants to fire the people from football who are taking a knee and I think that is not a nice thing to do. I disagree and agree because everyone can do what they want including President Trump. I don't like the way the police are treating the black people because they are a different colour.

First of all, I feel like everyone should have the same rights, no matter what race, gender or religion. On the other hand,  they should stand for the national anthem to pay respect to the country they're in, even if they don't like it. Just like in Maniac Magee, when they split the town by race. Even though it isn't fair for people to be treated poorly for something they can't change about theirselves, the athletes should still stand for the national anthem. I hope the athletes can find a different way to protest so they still can, because there is multiple more ways than disrespecting the US military. The military has nothing to do with this controversy, therefore shouldn't be pulled in.
