Not asking questions is a big shift for me. I often find myself wanting to ask questions to build teachers' capacity because they have the ability to solve their own problems. But now I realized too often I am changing the trajectory of the conversation without meaning to.

In my first year at my school, I spent a significant amount of time getting to know teachers. Their interests in and out of school and connecting with them. For example, our 5th grade team are all runners. I was training for my first half. It was a real bonding experience for us all. I feel like this has laid a foundation.

I have spent a lot of time in CT's getting to know teachers and have used any avenue to get in to support them and help them by modeling lessons and working with small groups. I know that I have learned a lot from them in my new role.
